mtb:
it's my fault. I started using gifs years ago to grab the screens and it's too late now to change it all.

Also, the goal of the screenshots is not to replicate and store the original graphics, but only to give an idea of what the game is like. So, for us, it's not necessary to have all the colours exactly right.

Konrad:
The full details weren't entered for Great Giana Sisters, so your search didn't come up. I've fixed it now... The database is still being worked on, BTW

@codyj

For the new ones you should use png.

A fast way to convert them all could be using the netpbm package making a script - but if they are linked it would be a great and unuseful work.

Wow. I've checked it out and HOL is great , very promising although there are still lots of gaps in youre info. Has anybody created a list of what you guys still need? I wanna help if I can with box/manual scans but I don't know what your missing or what you just haven't had time to process yet. If I get a PC linkup kit I'd be willing to play through a game and take screenshots for you, like one of each land type for Cannon Fodder. If youve already got a list of stuff you need please direct me to it!

@NytroX86
From the HOL page, just choose Boxscan=No, then Generate Game Listing; that will give you 30+ pages of mixxing box art!

Thumbs up Impressive!

(...)
To say I am impressed is not the right word. I am flabbergasted is more suited. Congratulations for creating the ultimate Amiga database.

Just curious: how large is the database (in Kb, number of pics, et cetera)?
Oh, I have some extra little insight information about some development teams mentioned in HOL. Who can I contact?

Anyway, very, very impressive site.

Any info someone wishes to contribute can be PM'd to any of the HOL team (all listed on the HOL page). In this case, however, I'd send that info to Cody, since publishers/dev teams is one of his pet projects at this time.

Welldone... as the IRC was over populated... i just went through HOL and it's GREAT!!!!!

I've got a few boxes i can scan for you.... i'll up a list l8r!!!!

anyway... good work d00ds...

i know this would be a right git to do... but as the box scans are pretty big... why not have thumbnail links to them (i imagine that my non-DSL friends would enjoy this )

ATM, total datas are not very big (500MB<>1GB)
and you can have the real time number of screenshots(8069) / boxscan(1663) from the main HOL page !
