FS: Amiga 500 + and GVP HD+ and A600, CD32, Philips Monitor.

So I got an A500 + and a GVP HD+ and was wondering if anyone was interested in this - I inherited it from a friend who cleared his loft out - I've yet to test this as I'm waiting for him to find the A500 power pack put he says he'll give it to me on Wednesday....

...so i was just seeing if anyone was interested in this set-up? I also have a phillips monitor that I'll combine with it plus software and an a600 plus a box of disks! and a CD32 - the console is in as new condition, the accessories are not!

Let me know before I resort to Ebay!

Cheers.

FYI if the A500+ hasn't had it's battery removed, do it today. It has almost certainly leaked but as it is working the clean-up shouldn't be too bad.

Advertising on http://www.Amibay.com is your best bet.

Hey,

I've actually got 2 A600's....one is in real good condition, with original box and PSU.

The other has some slight yellowing on keyboard - very slight mind....no box old PSU.

Or if your feeling really high tech I have a CD32 in as new condition with box (a bit tatty, the box) and used PSU + used controller. The CD32 still has plastic film over the CD door!

So take your pick and make me an offer!

I'm not sure about postage - I'll weigh it and get back to you but probably around 15 quid for postage.
Cheers,

Jim.

Cool - i can't test this until Wednesday though - so I will get back to you via PM - feel free to think up a price and make an offer in the meantime....I'm not sure what size the HD is until wed either.

Cheers.

Gah I hate making offers! Seems pointless unless you have starting price from the seller. *hint* *hint*

Hi guys,

I've got some prices together - hope they are reasonable:

A600 boxed in very good condition, (no yellowing) + accessories (PSU, mouse) £45

A600 with PSU & mouse only slight yellowing on keyboard £30

A500 + boxed Very Good condition comes with 1MB expansion £55

GVP HD+ not sure yet

CD 32 in mint condition, used accesories (PSU & Controller), boxed £100

SCSI Squirrel & CD-ROM (has yellowed) £40

Postage 15 for large boxed items £10 for smaller ones.

I might just put this all on Amibay tomorrow as it's just easier to keep track of everything unless anyone really objects and definately wants this kit!

I will be testing all this thoroughly tomorrow.

Let me know whatyou guys think!

Jim.

GVP HD8+ was dirt cheap (perhaps not now you've noticed it!). With a few quid investment and a couple of hours work on it the HD8+ can be the best value for money upgrade for A500!

The A600 is the other end of the scale!? You can pick up an yellowing A600 + PSU + mouse for between £10-20 almost every week on eBay.

Find out which ROM is in your A600's. If they cant boot from hard drive then that can knock a few quid off the price (or add some if they can). Find out if any of the A600's have trapdoor RAM expansions. A lot do.

A500+ price might be good if there is no battery corrosion. If it has a 1MB trapdoor RAM card even better!

You can add 8Mbytes of RAM to a HD8+ for under £5 as it takes regular 30-pin SIMMS

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=200339705316

You can add a Compact Flash reader to a HD8+ for about £25. Makes it soooooo easy to transfer files to the Amiga that way. Much faster than messing with Ethernet or serial cables.

If you put the CF card internally it makes sense to modify the HD8+ to get its power direct from the Amiga at the same time.
