The ADF files are all located at ~/Documents/FS-UAE/Floppies. I did use the 'Refresh Game Database' menu item located underneath the first icon. I also tried the circular arrow icon next to the filters box. Another file in the same directory "Arkanoid: Revenge of Doh" was seen by the FS_UAE launcher.

I even recreated my Spotlight index on my Mac. The file is seen by Spotlight, but I cannot seem to get FS-UAE to see it.

Please have a look here: http://eab.abime.net/faq.php?faq=vb_...ezone_faq_item

But as nexusle said you need to scan your files again via 'Scan Files and Configurations', not only update the database Maybe the behaviour of the refresh button can be changed to include a scan in the future.

Yes, it definitively can. The only reason it does not is because the file scan is relatively slow (and unecessary to run every time one updates the online database). The database refresh itself will also be faster than it currently is when it is optimized. Perhaps a change of wording can help.

I'd say there are two 'use cases': People that scan the whole TOSEC and WHDLoad collection and like to just fetch new entries from the database and people that would like to keep their launcher 'on demand' (only the entries they use). There could be a switch in preferences that decides if the button 'only' updates the database (default) or if it'll include a scan (second scenario). Would be handy for people like bcripon and me Of course it's just a 'nice-to-have' with a low priority

Thanks for the help. Using 'Scan Files and Configurations' first did solve the problem. I remember looking at that screen and it did not seem related to the Game Database. Therefore, I assumed incorrectly that I really needed to just do 'Refresh Game Database'. That was my mistake.

So my original problem is solved. One minor item I did notice about this game is that the v1.05 cr ESI variant is an NTSC version. I do not know if the NTSC flag could be set just for this variant since I am assuming the other variants are PAL versions.

It is interesting to play the NTSC version in PAL mode. It is playable except for the static at the bottom of the screen (wrong refresh rate) and the invisible moving barriers (or whatever you would call them). It is very strange to suddenly see your ball redirected by an invisible object.

Anyway, thanks for everyone's help.

If a key database is setting to "requirements=WB"....how does it work?
I created a directory "Minimal Workbench v1.3"in Hard Drives folder, with
"amiga-os-134-workbench.adf", and then...?

I think the idea about 'requirements=WB' was that the launcher would use a WB disk in DF0: and the actual disk in DF1:. Copying the contents of a WB 1.3 disk to a hard drive would be a bit 'overkill'...

Yes, it was only done this way for practical reasons right now - for testing. Needs more work and thought. One issue, in order to remain compatible with net play, is to ensure that everyone uses the same WB disk (This would be a lot easier if Cloanto only included "standard" WB disks, as I try to ensure that FS-UAE Launcher can work equally well both with and without Amiga Forever).
