Darkmere WHD Problem

Hi

I am having a problem with the WHDLoad version of Darkmere. On Level 1 you have to give this Skullbuster drink to a dwarf to get the password to exit the level.

I have got the drink but the option to GIVE the drink to the dwarf is missing for some reason. It should definitely be there because its on the Longplay on YouTube:

I don't get the option to GIVE the skullbuster brew. Could this be some form of sneaky game protection which has been missed by the WHDLoad version or what??

EDIT: Silly me. I just played it and figured it out. You first have to give him a normal (alcoholic) drink before he tells you he wants the skullbuster. Only then can you give him the drink. If you only have the skullbuster the option to GIVE doesn't appear. Stupid game logic eh. lol.

@Stingray: You've made a slave update in 2011 that fixed a crash on 68000 Amigas. I guess Wepl needs the source for an official update. Maybe a custom option to disable the blitter waits for 68000 Amigas would be nice. IF there are any slowdowns.

I think EVERY slave having blitterwaits should include the option to disable them: in most cases, they produce slowdowns in 68000-based Amigas.

I don't think I kept the source, it was never meant to appear in public either as I just made it on request of someone over at the a1k.org forum.

Or the other way 'round, no blitter waits will be added if the slave runs on a 68000 machine. That's what my slaves do. They also allow to enable the blitter waits on 68000 anyway with a CUSTOMx tooltype.

Exactly. That's it. I wish every install author was that careful

I got this right? Your unofficial 68000 slave fix doesn't have the blitter waits (set by Wepl before) set by default?

No, only slaves I fully create myself have these features, the Darkmere fix was just a quick hack I did using the available source. I only fixed the 68000 crashes, nothing else.
