I was just about to post it to the zone, but now I see you've made a duplicate thread just to annoy the shit out of everyone here I will annoy the shit out of you and send it to my recycle bin. Read the FAQ.

I'm curious about the constant requests for Resource 6 - do all you guys requesting it actually know what it's for and how to use it? And if you do know, what stuff are you disassembling and for what purpose? (Just curious that's all)

ive used resource 5 in the past for a grand total of one proJECT - dissassembling maxbbs 1.52 (i think it was, a while ago u see...)
Additionally, im wanting to get my hands dirty with trying to do some driverupdates(cnet.device i need to alter slightly)/diskloaders, and some assembly and C++ programming (i have devpac3.18 and hisoft c 4, and lattice c 5.1) but i only have resource 5, and as i remember resource 6 was a lot more useful.

I'm just starting to get back into amiga programming you see, and id very much like to have a bash at helping port Aros to 68k, one part of which would be mac compatibility, and knowing as little as i know about mac's, a dissassembler could come in handy...

there is IRA, some times I find that better then REsource, because some times when I use resource halfway down the code I keep seeing the ?????.

But I don't have Resource 6 sorry =[, I think there is one on amiganostalgia.com don't know what version.

look in "old file viewer"
old apps
developers
resource6.

If you don't have the original manual for ReSource, there is a mostly-complete version of the instructions in the ReSource demo archive which was on one of the Fred Fish disks. It may also be on Aminet.

While the documentation in the archive applies to an earlier version of ReSource, it is still mostly applicable to later versions.

The ??? you keep seeing is probably due to the data type being set incorrectly, or having been incorrectly guessed by ReSource. To manually set the data type, move to the appropriate line in the disassembly and select the appropriate item in the D (Display)->Set data type menu; ASCII or Word etc.

The default key bindings for those functions are e.g. left Amiga-C (code), lAmiga-W (word), lAmiga-L (long), lAmiga-A (ASCII).

You can display the current key binding for any menu function by pressing Ctrl-lShift-lAlt F1 (or selecting the K (key bindings)->Rebind key menu item), then selecting the menu item. (Just click the left mouse button if you don't want to bind that function to a different key.)

cheers for that info. =]

That will come in very handy.

One thing I like about Resource over IRA, is that when dissassembles the text pointers, it is actually readeable text, not damn hex longwords like in ira, but that is most probably fixable by reading the manual as well .

Hello future readers. Do you want Resource V6.0?

if the answer is yes, then do the following.

goto http://www.amiganostalgia.com

on the right is "file viewer" click that.

then click on "old file viewer (main archive still in here)"

the click "old apps"

"Developers"

"Resource6"

even better do http://www.amiganostalgia.com/files/...rs%2FResource6

But if you want resource V6.06 (for some reason), ask in here and Red Skull/DC will hopefully upload it for ya =].
