Advantages of c?

Just wondering if there is any great advantage of using a c compiler over blitz?

Is there much/any speed diference?

Yes, there is a big speed difference.

It's much harder to program in C/C++ than in Blitz Basic, but C/C++ is a professionally-used, cross-platform language.

I have already done a fair bit of c stuff on pc so should i just stick to that rather than use blitz?

what compilers are good?
is that dev cd worth buying for stormc?

probably games and demo's more than anything.

maybe some basic 3d stuff.

would love to do a field hockey game. can't work out any good control schemes though need more buttons!

can you code for cd32 joypads?

i had a library for them in amos at one stage. been a while since i have used amos. can't remember if i got it working?

I'm sure there is some support for CD32 joypads in Blitz, either natively or via add-ons.
