How much took You to finish <enter Amiga game name here> without cheating?
Just been reading the latest post on "What Amiga games have you finished, WITHOUT CHEATING?" by [Firthy2002] ( http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?...astpost&t=2733 ), and came up with a new thread idea.
As the title says: "How much took You to finish <enter Amiga game name here> without cheating?" I mean if it was possible, try to count as much as possible precise time: hours preferably, but days/afternoons/weekends count-type is acceptable I'm REALLY curious about some games - how much do you have to spend "attached" to your Amiga to finish it... Yeah... and by cheating i mean also: - last code entering, - last save loading, - looking ALL/MOST of the time at a solution/walkthrough ... i'm sure you do understand Last edited by Shoonay; 14 September 2004 at 14:00. |

Defender of the crown : less than an hour
Giana Sisters : about a day Another World : almost 15 years Wings : two weeks Leisure Suit Larry : some hours ... Well, all that depends how much time I spend on playing each day/month/year/whatever |

I am sorry but this thread should be combined with the other, its basically asking the same thing but wanting a time-limit too!
Pointless on its own having 2 similar threads on the go at once!!! |

I think it's pretty different but it would make more sense if it was about the minimum and/or maximum amount of time that one spent finishing a game

i'm interested in one other thing: when you answer to this thread and the other one (how much games etc) do you consider cheating also look at the walkthrough here and there? that would't be so different to ask for help when you're stuck.
i don't think that i ever finished a game without doing something questionable at the least... edit: oh ok at least 2 i've finished them clean: Double Dragon and Golden Axe, both in some day Last edited by Marcuz; 14 September 2004 at 12:21. |

I dont know exactly because was years ago but..
Games just took me between 1 and 3 days: -ChuckRock2 -DoubleDragon2&3 -GoldenAxe ( experienced because of the coin op ) -Banshee -Batman The Movie -Robocop 1 & 2 -JimPower -RiskyWoods -Metal Law ( arghh! it left me with hunger of more ) -Final Blow ( well, who dont? ) Games took me around 1 week: -ShadowOfTheBeast3 -Wolfchild -SWIV -ChaosEngine -R-type - I finished previously on coin op. and took me months and money. -Turrican2 and 3 -FlightOfTheAmazonQueen (In english!! that was important for me and without walkthroughts) - Street Fighter 2 ( Damn! I enjoyed it, even if in amiga moves jerkly ) Games took me between 2 or 4 weeks: -BattleSquadron and Hybris (I want a son from MartinPedersen) -Turrican1 -DragonStone - that Zelda-alike game got me hooked. -MonkeyIsland 1 & Indy( but both with some hints ) MonkeyIsland 2 ( with almost complete walkthrought ) Games took me years to finish: -ShadowOfTheBeast -Xenon2 -Silkworm -Operation Stealth Mention also Z-out,.. this game is the game where I reach the final boss but NEVER been able to beat him.. A one-time look "here and there", as you said, is NOT cheating. |
