A Prehistoric Tale Cheat

On the title screen (player select, music, highscores) type "PLAY THE SPASEBO BLUES". The gradient select bar will turn from blue to red. This will give you access the following keys during play:

+ - Skip to next level
1 - Level 2 Warp - Egg Catching
2 - Level 3 Warp - Shoot the Dinosaurs
3 - Level 4 Warp - Slide puzzle
L - Add Lives
I - Makes invincible for a short period of time (turns invisible) press any key but the 'I' to make visible
E - Jump to ending
G - Makes the score go up, but maybe something else
B - Set level to 100...complete the current level and complete the game

For German keyboards does the "Y" have to be a "Z" ?

Yes, it's "PLAZ THE SPASEBO BLUES" on German keyboards.

Although I was already familiar with the cheat codes for APT, keys "G" and "B" are new to me.

BTW, there is a second cheat code for APT: Typing "OOH CRIKEY" on the game title picture will cause the intro to use an extended scrolltext. (I only tested this on the Atari ST version of the game).

When exactly do you enter the text? I tried the screen before the scroller, but pressing space advances to the scroller.

Did you try it in the scroller screen? It's many years ago that I last tried (on the Atari ST), so I'll have to check.

I'll try it without the space. Doesn't help that the unextended scrolltext is already pretty long

I just checked it and I managed to get the extended scrolltext on the Amiga version of APT. I tried entering "OOH CRIKEY" as "OOHCRIKEY" and "OOHCRIKEZ" in the title screen and as "OOH CRIKEY", "OOHCRIKEY", "OOH CRIKEZ" and "OOHCRIKEZ" in the scroller screen and one of the combinations worked.

As it really takes some time until you reach the point when the extended scolltext is shown, I don't have any idea which combination actually worked

I also tried two today and they didn't seem to do anything. Will try again during the next days until we can single out which one it is.

I will look at the code and see if there is another cheat code. I only came across the one why I was working on the decoder.
