On the other hand, I think bugs in slaves should not be reported in this forum. If devs don't see it soon enough, it will be lost. Otherwise, it's putting pressure & urgency on the devs so they must fix it before the thread is buried. There's a very good bugtracking page for that: https://mantis.whdload.de (or just report the bugs on whdload page, it redirects to mantis automatically) Then the bug can be discussed in the issue discussion thread. |

I've reported a few things via the WHDLoad page for an install but for whatever reason 'SPAM Keyword' messages stop me submitting them as it doesn't tell me what word is the 'SPAM keyword' so I can't submit that report!

Heh, I reported a bug in Coala years ago - and was surprised when after 5 - 10 years I got an answer that it was solved

I don't know if that have changed but in the past if you add a bug report via mantis bugtracker there was no assign to author and (if I'm not wrong) game/demo title. So wepl or others(?) have to do it manually. It was recommended to use the WHDLoad page to open a report. If a bug report exists already mantis can be used to add/change things. Usually the link from email notifications is an easy access.

Yes, that is correct. There is no auto assignment if issues are entered in the bugtracker. And if the project (install) does not yet exists in mantis it's to report via the website. On import into the bugtracker the project will be created then.

It's just awkward not knowing which words were causing the SPAM message! |
