Classic WB P96

I just emailed a friend the link for this version of P96 when I noticed that link does not work. All you get is 'Invalid user and password' thingy when you try to download it. (access denied)

Am I doing something wrong?

You don't have permission to access /classicwb/ClassicWB_P96.zip on this server.
Apache/1.3.33 Server at download.abime.net Port 80

I got simillar problem when I try to use FreeDownload Manager.

Hi Anubis; I think I might pop over to Total-EMU soon for some more photo posting opportunities. I still read the barmy armies threads over there most days! All on form as usual.

To answer your question - yes it can't be directly linked or clicked on. You have to right click and use the option "save target as" - as it actually says on the link itself!

I guess it's to stop direct link hammering on Rcks server.

Now go and get that duck!

I did download it, but it get's quite confusing, as other packs you can download just by clicking on the link.

BTW, link was from EAB. (that post)

True. I might add it to the main classicwb page next update instead of those threads that seem to limit how you can download.

The reason I haven't done so already is I consider the P96 version as a sort of extra option not really connected to the classicwb setups. Plus there are so many good alternatives for P96 - AIAB, AmiKit, AmigaSYS.

Glad you find it useful though!

It is more then usefull.

I don't like the others as there either are not updated as frequent, or they are missing support and what's the worst, using more resources. In AIAB case, I found way to many bugs to be able to use it.

Thanks for putting together all required programs!
