Greetings from New Zealand
Hi Everyone, Just would like to introduce myself here. My name is Dan, live in Christchurch, New Zealand.
I'm really interested in creating some music with Protracker, doing some programming for it and maybe and creating a demo or two. I used to own a Amiga 500, but sold it ages ago (which I so regret now). Anyways, that's me. Good to meet you all ![]() |

Greeting Dannyboy.
Yeah the Amigas are getting a bit pricey on trademe.co.nz and there is one guy who goes straight in with a 'buy now' offer and tries to buy the whole bundle. Oh well if you are not fast you're last. Good luck with the Pro Tracking. what amiga are you thinking of getting? |

Good to meet you redblade.
Crazy pricing on trademe most definitely. I try and keep an eye out for a good deal, but I think people know if its a beige box it means money regardless of what kind of machine it is. I've been really after a 1200 for as long as I can remember, but bills and life always seem to get in the way. I'm currently looking at building an Amithlon to at least get something with good performance, and see how emulation (its a dirty word for some) of the chipsets goes. I've tried MorphOS and it seems a good system, but I'm just not happy committing $140NZD to PowerPC hardware so I thought I could try the Amithlon route. |

Welcome to the board, Danny. Hope you get your 1200 soon, their prices seem to climb higher every year.

Yeah Amiga 1200's are expensive, but Atari Falcons on ebay are something else. The price the guy wants for a 030 or a DSP56K is crazy.
