Alien Breed could use a death match feature.

Rainbow islands.

Bubble Bobble is great because of the team work needed to play it really well. So why did they drop it to 1 player for the second one?

Maybe something like Hunter across null-modem, either co-op missions or death match.

Dune II would be brilliant multiplayer!

Monkey Island, Simon the Sorcerer, or Curse of Enchantia. A graphical point-and-click adventure could be great fun as co-op or two-player.

How would that work?

Maybe something like Goblins? Each player should have different abilities.

We all saw how good Guybrush is at spitting in Monkey Island 2, maybe you could have another player who's good at swallowing

A bit like Maniac Mansion perhaps, but adapted for two simultaneous players on two computers.

One player should drive a car, second shoot the enemy by using mouse If there is no enemy in sight you may shoot the barrels on road and collect turbos.

Definitely Cannon Fodder, although that would be somewhat of a challenge to do locally without any network. Just imagine the hilarity and outrage of a misplaced grenade or rocket.

A game which I really didn't like but COULD be slightly more fun 2p is Narco Police.

What else? This is a difficult question actually, never really gave it much thought...

Then how about second player controlling traps only - doors and palms?

Cannon Fodder and Dune 2 would have been awesome in multiplayer.
Also Syndicate in co-op, imagine the mayhem 2 players could create

Nice idea, that would work really well, experts could try and use both

Yeah nice one.

Regarding Dune 2: I know this thread is about "back in the day on the Amiga" but there is an awareness that for the PC there are a Dune 2 remakes that have multiplayer support right?
