You may forgot to set the "e" bit on one or more files? In main dir all the files that begin with "tennis_" need to changed.

You could always try my "HD Install" --> "ADFs", just don't tell idrougge that you did

ftp://ftp:amiga@grandis.nu/~Uploads/...eleased%5D.zip

See this thread Center Court Tennis 2 [AGA] - "HD install" --> "ADFs" for more details if needed: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=83542

We partied Center Court 2 this weekend and we think the game is buggy for players 3 and 4. Controls in parallel port work for them, except fire. All the joystick directions are okay, but the fire doesn't work. Please, check it.

This is simply not true.

I don't know where this is coming from but Blitz2 is well documented with a full paper manual, integrated context-sensitive help, examples and websites devoted to it.

Just grabbing some ADFs from some place and claiming 'there are no docs' is silly. stop it.

Actually, the Blitz manual is really lousy, full of errors and missing entire sections. And most third-party documentation is part of defunct mailing lists.

AMOS is well-documented, but Blitz ain't.

Sensei, i tracked down the Ultimate Blitz Basic CD and the book in pdf and i can tell that is not the most newbie-friendly documentation. Most of the hints i got had it from you in the Tetris clone thread; now that i found a new hardware i could try to get back on work on it...

Just asked for fun: The guy in the background of the title menu, is that "Andre Agassi" in the late 90s?

Many people are getting confused with the bad reputation BASIC (as an acronym) is being given to itself as a language. BASIC is no longer what it used to be many years ago. Nobody would VBasic wipe of the table as a solution for creating tools on Windows. This needs to soak into the Amiga community as well. Blitz is not AmigaBasic nor AMOS and it never was.
The basic (sic) functionality is well represented in the docs for Blitz, but the language offers far more, so to expect general examples how to code system friendly applications would blow any manual. Just use the NDK and some brain grease. The same is valid for banging AGA hardware registers. Blitz has a simple inline assembler integrated. Use that, if you are capable of. There cannot be a doc to serve it all, unless somebody write a book with all the neat tricks and hints.

Bit late to the party, but what an inspiring story, gotta love the "lift the head off the platter with your finger when turning it on". Such Risk, such rewards, congrats to all involved.

damn this is a great tennis game! Runs sweet on my 030@50. Controls are great & with practice you can make some nice drop and lob shots though best to play on easiest settings if playing against the computer for the first few games at least

career mode working on both my 030 and 060 miggies…did you create a new character first ? if not got to create new character screen and click on name to change it with keyboard and country and player icon use joystick. After that you should be able to start a new career with the new player you made.
