Renamers... We want you!

Seeing as there is a lot of interest regarding tosec, and the fact I have LOTS of non-tosec CD's and stuff I am looking for those who want to help with renaming!

If you are interested reply here or PM me, there are rules to follow and [idoru] will continue to maintain the dats and release them but I will try and co-ordinate a few renamers and what they are renaming

I think the problem is to find good renamers, some of the errors PandMonium & me found now while fixing the database are really stupid, alot of typos and publishers that appear more than 3 times in the db cause of that, nice example is this:
17 Bit Software
17 Bit-Software
17-Bit Software
17-Bit-Software

Some people didn't check so good, something i just found today:
1994 ANG was in [h] flag
by checking the title screen it said:
Inside: (C) 1990 Spektra Poland
Remake: (C) 1994 ANG Software
I understand that everyone can make a mistake but the ANG Software one for example is just stupid.

It's always nice if people want to help, I'll ask PandMonium later if he can upload the latest TNC documentation, if you follow this and look at it while renaming then I'm sure alot good renamed sets can be added to the DATs.

Right guys.. Here are some basic things that need to be followed in order to rename!

1. All renamers will need a collection of around 300-500 adf's to rename
2. Once you have the files you'll need to create a CLRMame Datfile of the disks you plan to rename
3. Once created send that DAT to me so I can distribute to other renamers, this means only one person is renaming that particular adf.. No need to be repeating

4. Once renamed all ADF's need sending to me so I can check naming and then create a master beta dat

Well I can select around 300-500 adf's if you like, or you can do your own and send me a dat so I can scan my collection of non-tosec and remove them from my renaming list

Also seperate whatever is renamed into the correct dats.. Games into Games, PD games into PD games etc!

If you find demos etc that you don't want to rename then simply move them to the side and send to me

yeah cool.. I have a folder structure as

applications
Applications - PD ADF
Applications - PD EXE
Games - ADF
Games - PD
Games Compilations

etc etc

and then once renamed the renamed adf gets dragged and dropped

Since I have the latest official dats I think I got the idea. I'll move the disks to the appropriate folders and when I'm done make the dat with the folders. Now that we'll talk about it I think I want to spend more hours a week on the renaming
