Up-to-date FTP needed

Trying to use the program TIM just knocked a good 3000 files off my website, most of them being the ones that are actually active. Due to this, I need to know if there is an active up-to-date TOSEC Amiga Games (ADF) FTP up as I desperately need to sync with one to restore what I can of the missing files. Cody said that his is out of date and has corrupted files. I say it needs to be using the latest dats because if it isn't, when I try and Sync, I'll end up with second copies of lots of things, and when working with 20,000 files, that won't be good.

Does anyone have any ideas?
Atomic Cabbage is down in the meantime.

For the record (not that it would be any use) the Miss list using the latest available DAT is attached (to the next post)

Anyone elses? I'm getting a whopping 2KB/s out of Bippies, estimated time of completion is currently measured in years rather than hours

I don't just run an FTP ya know, I do a lot with torrents etc and have to share!

also you told me you wanted about 2000 files (that were deleted), later you tell me you have 18,000 queued

Last time I checked (a few mins ago) you was getting 20kb/s!!!!!

If my FTP aint quick enough for you then disconnect please and don't be so ungrateful!

Don't be so hostile Bippy. I appreciate you trying to help but at 2KB/s it isn't any use :P

It's ok now though as it's sped back up to 20KB/s though (I do only need 2700 files, but it still has to check the rest).

Methanoid: I only need the Amiga Games section, not the entire of TOSEC

I'm not being hostile, sorry if thats how I cam over but... you should have just asked me why it was running that slow!!

I'll not run any torrents or owt for a couple of days so the ftp will be full-speed.. just don't be surprised if it gets busy (and your speed drops!!)

I'll go in with you. Are they the latest TOSEC sets? $50 is about £27 at the latest exchange rate so it's only £13.50 each which is a steal.

For those interested Eggman is here (if U wanna order your own set feel free)

http://www.eggmansworld.com

Some ruff calcs:
A set from Eggman is 13 DVDs and costs $49 (approx £28 inc shipping to UK. A set of 13 blank DVD-Rs approx £4.

2 persons = £16 (but since I'll be doing the arsing around writing 2nd copies U can pay the £1-odd UK post!!)
3 persons = £12
4 persons = £10

I don't want to do lots of this but I don't mind a few sets to share the costs but I am NOT looking to make money doing this. I do have NoChex and PayPal but they would charge me to receive money remember.

OK, well I got my Eggman set in 2005. Anyone have a source of more recent updates to the TOSEC sets? I know Bip is offline.

I'll be putting up my own FTP server to share files (and its a 1mb upload which us better than most for speed). I don't do torrents so that won't affect it (and using usenet won't affect the speed either).

If you do that, make sure you keep an eye on who has access to your FTP. If you don't you'll find that some idiot has reported you to anyone who'll listen for sharing a crap game that was released 20 years ago. I suggest making the FTP invite-only.
