Amiga Budget Range Posters

I’ve started to create some budget range Amiga game posters, as unlike the majority of Amiga games, the budget packaging is uniform in looks and they have a collectors appeal to them.

Let me know if i missed any games on any of them.

You can grab the high resolution versions of all posters uploaded in this thread here

Hit-Squad £7.99 Range

Sizzlers by Psygnosis

Corkers by Core Design

No, the way how the crippled the box covers illustrations and placed that ugly corkers logo over 2/3 of it.

But nice initiative, keep them coming!

Fair enough, i agree i prefer at least the logo being a solid colour and not the box image showing through like Premier or Chuck Rock II.

Interesting project Never understood the Corkers box design either. I would think a proper box art with a smaller logo would get more people to reach for your games.

I'm close on a few other posters atm, need images for;

16-Bit Pocket Power - Demolition/Slip Stream/Steel
Buzz - Vikings
Fox Hits - Sliders
Mirror Image - Lords Of The Rising Sun/TV Sports Basketball
Pocket-Soft - North & South?/Warlock The Avenger
Respray - Escape From The Planet Of The Robot Monsters

If anyone has any front cover images of the above it would be much appreciated to get those respective posters done and available!

These look great AmigaJay! Nice work

I've got most of the Mirror Image releases, but have never seen Basketball or Lords of the Rising Sun in this format.. were they released?

Looks like you are missing a Codemaster jewel case.. CJ's Elephant Antics
I can send you a scan if you need that one?

Oh, and what do you mean by cover alteration on the Hit Squad poster?

Cheers!

Thanks!

Re the Mirror Image releases, they were mentioned in reviews as that budget version, but i haven't seen any yet, not that i've looked for a while mind!

Is CJ in the same budget design as the others? I have only seen the original budget box version, but sure attach a scan that i and other databases could use as well!

The Hit-Squad designs are just subtle little changes they made, firstly the price logo, then the position of it, and finally listing the Amiga models above the price.

It quite likely that they were announced just before Mirrorsoft was closed. In of case of Lords of the Rising Sun the only review for the Mirror Image release is from late 1991/very early 1992. So reviews for those budget versions exist, but they were never released.

Interesting posters. Indeed, from this point of view, there is a collector value.
Until now, i have disregarded budget releases compared to original releases.
Perhaps because there were no budget releases in France but instead compilations of several games with a sort of original package for each compilation.

Are you sure about that? Several French publishers had budget labels and the text on those is also in French. For example take a look at the Collectors (Ubi Soft budget label) release of First Samurai: https://amiga.abime.net/games/view/t...-samurai#scans
