Is there a way to put amiga games onto the cd32?
Hey all i have been trying to get information on this for days on the net. Is there an easy way to get amiga adf. files onto the amiga cd32? I also have a paravision sx-1 which i just recently aquired. There has got to be a way where i can just transfer them onto disk or something but no matter how many people i ask no one has any idea. I just want to play some games, so if there is another way i can do that, please let me know.
If someone out there can help me i would really appreciate it. Thanks heaps I also oppolagize for putting this in the wrong section. Last edited by raditz669; 10 June 2009 at 04:56. Reason: Put in wrong section |

Not sure about what you mean by "transfer them onto disk".
- If you want some games on CD, other than the official releases, for instance, Heavy Stylus has done some conversions so that games can be run directly from CDs: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=43938 - If you mean you want to use them from a hard drive connected to the SX-1, you should take a look at whdload. - Or do you mean you would like to write some adfs onto floppy disk so that you can use them with a floppy disk drive connected to the SX-1? |

Thats the one, but thank you for your help already. I have around 18,000 amiga files/games and was just wondering how to get them either onto a cd that the cd32 will read or floppies. |

The file you would need is on the EAB file server (http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=43633) in the folder 'Apps/new apps' named 'AMIGA CD32 Games Compilation Toolkit 1.1.zip'. The included manual should get you started.

No problem Might be a good idea to wait with the CD32 business a bit then. Get well soon!

Hum, sorry I kind of forget this thread.
Check this page of the wiki for various guides for transfers: http://wiki.abime.net/amiga:file_transfer More precisely, I think these ones are what would help you most: http://ale.emuunlim.com/guides/file-transfer.shtml http://ale.emuunlim.com/guides/adf-todisk.shtml http://fellow.abime.net/old_version/.../transfer.html It should give you enough information on how to transfer adf back to the amiga (the CD32 + SX-1 in your case, unless you have another amiga at hand) and then write the adf back to disk. As mentioned in the guides, you will probably need to use LHA to compress the adf files for the transfer. Be warned though, it will take some time to do these transfers back to amiga floppies directly readable by the SX-1 and as far as I know, there is no way to do this in a batch. |
