Extracting on real Amiga 1200

Hello again, just to let those of you interested know, she's like a phoenix from the ashes after your previous help with the HDD. I've treated her to a 4MB+6882+RTC board and things are running nicely with WHDLoad. Next treat: a shiny new white keyboard!
The thing is with extraction. I have tried extracting zipped games on the Amiga with LX, LHA and LHX but keep getting the return BAD HEADER something or other SKIPPING CORRUPT something else and ending in failed extractions. (LX extracts all other kinds of files trouble-free). I've taken to unzipping games on the PC one-at-a-time then going through the long process of transferring the unzipped games via PCMCIA & FTP. Shall I just persevere with this method or am I making life ridiculously hard for myself by overlooking something simple?
Once again, thank you in advance!

What Rom and Workbench version are you using?

I've unzipped all KGs packs on my 1200 and 4000 without any problem.

Unzipping on a PC is not advised because some of the files names can cause problems for the poor old PC

How are you getting the Zip files onto your miggy?

Can be the MaxTransfer setting is wrong and corrupting your bigger files

+!111billion, yeah, the LH* and LZ* formats are completely seperate from ZIP. PC's unzip from the OS when you double click, an Amiga will need unzip. Throw it in C: and rock on.

Just get ClassicWB and use DOpus.

Unzip whole directory with couple of mouse clicks.

Sounds like your fast ram may be corrupt. Download a memory tester from aminet.

Yep something is up with that Miggy. If the memory checks out, maybe you should wipe the HD are re-installing the OS? I'm running OS3.9 and unzipping is a simple mouse click affair.
