First real-time 3D object
Who was the first individual or group to pioneer the creation of a real-time 3D vector object in a demo or intro?
or What is the oldest demo/intro you remember with a real time rotating 3D vector object? Last edited by Johnny Bear; 23 February 2024 at 23:23. |

ElGato, a Videoscape 3D production by Blair and Sullivan was something like it.

The Amiga Boing Ball doesn't count as is not a 3D object, it's color cycling.

3D objects are not 3D objects either, they're 2D projections made to look 3D.

Although there are 3D representations that do not come from 3D objects, this is the case of the raycasting technique used in Wolfenstein and Doom, which are considered 2.5D engines. They are two-dimensional maps rendered to appear 3D. Last edited by balrogsoft; 19 April 2024 at 22:42. |

What about the multitasking triangles shown by Fred Harris in the Micro Live A1000 review.
clicking on the 1.0 demo zip file link did nothing if that's the same thing. |

It is possible that there was a previous program, but Fred Fish disk 12 contains this program, I couldn't say the exact date but it is from 1986:
Amiga3D Shows a rotating 3 dimensional solid "Amiga sign". No source available, executable only (downloaded from a Denver BBS) Author: Barry (bart) Whitebook of C-A Edited: I tried it on the emulator and it shows some errors, the file is dated February 2, 1986.
