WANTED: Mitsumi/Amiga Keyboard for parts to mod A1200 keyboard!

Hello everyone!

I would like to buy either the right kind of Mitsumi Keyboard that has the "rubber cups" underneath the keycaps to be able to replace the metal springs on my Amiga 1200 keyboard.

Alternatively if anyone has an Amiga 2000/3000/4000 keyboard that is dead and no longer useable that they would be willing to sell that I could get them from.

Or if anyone knows if you can buy them as a spare part from someplace. These Mitsumi keyboards used to be common place way back when. Even had some myself but of course... I got rid of them at some point.

Drop me a private message if you have anything of interest!

I'm in Sweden so someone in Scandinavia/Europe would be preferable.

Would ya'll consider this. I mean, if your KB is not working; at least until you get one that does, this could have you back in the saddle again.

I'm not affiliated with the seller at all, found them last week or so and ordered one for myself, eagerly awaiting its arrival.

You might want to look at the "Kickstarter Amiga Keycaps" under
https://support.a1200.net/4-compatible-keycaps
as these keysets all come with a full set of metal springs for the standard Amiga "Mitsumi Hybrid" Keyboards for most Amiga models.

see https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...miga-computers
for details on confirming that you have a "Mitsumi Hybrid" type keyboard.

He wrote that he wanted to replace the springs with rubber, not get new springs. Because springs suck.

Wow, the Stm32 on that module has more processing power than the stock Amiga its being fitted into! (I'm sure now i've said it someone will prove me wrong!)

I considered adding one to the edge connector on an a500 for an SD card interface then the above realisation struck.
It's like picking your nose with a cricket bat.

I like my springs! But I don't live in the EU. I have a Mitsumi with the right caps and rubber thingies.

If you don't need them, I'd like to buy those rubbers.

I'd have to swap because I don't have springs, but I am still undecided about what the best move is. I am trying to give the rubbers a chance as suggested by the keyboard masters

Get one that looks like this:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/VINTAGE-Tasta...AAAOSwux5YOFHn

There's some on ebay.de very often. Usually they will agree to ship abroad if you ask nicely.
