A suggestion for Development. If I take type a game name in a post it will convert it to a hyperlink to the game on HOL. I notice some do it manually but i think it would be cool if it did it automatically.

Interesting, but I think it would just get in the way, myself - what if I typed something like, say, "I was in complete agony", and then Agony was automatically converted to a link? Wouldn't make much sense out of context like that.

Maybe have the Hall of Light Search box a floating one, so when you scroll down it stays in the top right hand corner? As sometimes a user will mention a game I've not heard of and I have to scroll right to the top to search for it, not a biggy but would be nice.

Then please make it optional. I really don't like these 'floating' elements at all.
Maybe there could be a special 'HOL link' in the post editor? That would be the best solution IMO

Shame it puts so much GUNK text around the game name.

HOL Database (id=Agony) is a great game! Love the music.

I agree that the output should just be the game name. Nice feature and thanks for the info Alex.

Yeah that is a bit messy. If it was edited a bit I'd definitely use it more!

Should look more like 'http://hol.abime.net/hol_search.php?find=Agony' and not 'http://hol.abime.net/Agony'. Would be even better if it would directly link to the game, but guess that is possible with a bit of extra work.

We have such a feature at Lemon and it's quite handy. You can even select a screenshot to accompany the link.

Yup, as is, it is pretty useless. You may as well look up HOL and then embed the full URL

Currently not possible because of HOL image protection system, but yes, it's definitively a good idea
