Of course, Achim Pankalla would also appreciate feedback and ideas about the program.

Pre-order the new Amiga Future issue now

The preview of the new Amiga Future has recently been online.

Now would be the ideal time to pre-order the new edition. Of course, only if you haven't already done so.

This is the fastest way to have the new Amiga Future magazine at home. The pre-orders are sent at the same time as the subscriptions.

Btw: Perhaps you'd prefer an annual subscription?

It couldn't be safer if you don't want to miss any issue of the magazine.
We only increased the print run of the Amiga Future some time ago, but at some point even this amount will no longer be sufficient.
Unfortunately, some users felt this shortly before the last increase in circulation. Of course that wasn't planned by us, but unfortunately there was no other way.

You can find the contents of the new Amiga Future and of course all of the already published booklets at the address ...

https://www.amigafuture.de/app.php/kb/index?c=13

Single issues can be ordered here: https://www.amigashop.org/index.php?cPath=23

Please note our advertising partners

On the Amiga Future webpage we offer you a huge free content all about the Amiga.

Because the Amiga Future is a non-profit project, the Amiga Future homepage has to finance itself completely.
The homepage, which is currently around 30 GB in size, is funded without exception through advertising, donations and our own private funds.
Programming new extensions, databases or features really costs a lot.

At the top of the webpage there are several banners from our advertising partners. We also have advertising in the left navigation bar.

Through these web partners we finance the server and programming costs of the Amiga Future webpage.

We would be happy if you pay attention to this advertising and that will ensure that there is still enough advertising on the Amiga Future webpage to finance it adequately.

APC&TCP and Amiga Future: 2020 - 2021

A small Preview for the Year 2021:

There's a hell of a lot going on in the background. But you hardly notice anything about it from the outside.
At most my direct contacts notice that I am extremely busy.

Corona caused us a lot of trouble too. It cost us quite a bit of sales and profit which of course has to be balanced out somehow.

Fair: still no idea what and how we can do it. Theoretically Gamescom, Amiga 35, Amiga 36, CC. But it is still written in the stars whether they take place at all and I can be responsible for taking part.

The successor to RESHOOT R will be released, that's for sure. Richard is very, very hardworking there. There is no release date yet.

The new Amiga Future Archive DVD (a DVD9) should be released this year. Due to Corona we have postponed it to 3rd quarter 21 at the earliest.

We are in negotiations for a rerelease of a well-known game.
Looks pretty good so far.

Another, probably rather unknown game is currently being negotiated, tested and calculated. I call it a rerelease, even if that is not entirely true.

We are planning to publish a translation of an English book. When exactly is a question of time and the trade fairs also play a decisive role in this.

There are still a few game projects that we are negotiating, but there is not even anything certain about that.

And of course next year we have to get further Amiga projects under contract.

It continues with Roadshow, CygnusED and DigiBooster. In all three cases, Corona thwarted our plans in terms of time.

With the Amiga Future our main focus is on increasing the number of issues sold in order to increase the number of pages. This is currently task number 1, so to speak.
At the same time we have to enlarge the team around the Amiga Future.

We also have some problems to deal with. For example, the post increased the international postage on 1.1. by a whopping 20%. With 5-digit postage costs per year, this is not a small sum that you can afford on the side.

And Amiga Future TV will start one day.
But that will happen calmly and very carefully.

For over a year we have been thinking about how we can "safely" implement a digital version of the Amiga Future. But we have not yet found a really clean solution. There is a lack of technical but also financial implementation.

The Amiga Future Andropid App is to be expanded.

A lot happens in the background, even if the user hardly notices something like that. So in 2019 we started looking for a new general ledger. Not at all easy if you also have to manage newspaper subscriptions and you don't necessarily want to spend a 5-digit amount on it every year.
We did that and we are currently working on two systems at the same time. From 1.1. the complete switch takes place and then the first practical errors will appear pretty quickly. But when that's through, things will be easier and we have more options.

A new financial accounting was absolutely necessary because of the new EU tax law. There was also the problem that MTR got into trouble at some point if you write several thousand invoices a year and post a 6-digit turnover.

For the year 2021 we naturally wish that the circulation of the Amiga Future increases noticeably, that our releases sell well and that we also get some new projects.

Amiga Future magazine Index Update

The Amiga Future magazine index has been updated and now also contains the index of the latest edition of the Amiga Future.

The magazine index contains all article titles from the Amiga Future editions.
This makes it easier to find a specific article in over 20 years of Amiga Future.

In addition, the magazine index can also be used with the AFA Viewer for AmigaOS 4.

Firstly, to find out in which edition an article was published.

But you can also read the articles published on AFA-DVD directly with the AFA Viewer.
To do this, the AFA-DVD must be in the drive or installed on the hard disk.

It is also possible to partially access the files directly from the Amiga Future homepage.

Amiga Future search editors and translators

We are looking for additional editorial assistance for our Amiga Future magazine.

Specifically we are looking for an editor with sufficient (lots and lots of) experience using an Amiga.

Interested? Then get in touch with the Amiga Future editorial staff.

However, you should ensure you own the following:

- An Amiga
- Fundamental knowledge of the Amiga
- Very good spelling in your native language (German or English!)
- Experience at writing test report(s)
- And of course, spare time and lots of interest in Amigas

We are also looking for translators for the magazine. Requirements are:

Translation of German -> English; also you should;

1. speak your native language (English) very well and submit correct spelling and grammar in written article(s).
2. have a good understanding of the German/Deutsch language as well.
3. be able to understand what you are actually translating.

So there is a definite need for basic, and sometimes technical, knowledge of the Amiga required in many cases.

We are also looking for assistance with the Amiga Future homepage.

As we want to expand the download area of the Amiga Future homepage. Especially the area with the full versions.
For this, we need users to test the full versions, take screenshots, and write brief summaries and system requirements.
You will also need to understand the German/Deutsch language.

The Amiga Future magazine - Issue 149 preview is now available to view online

This is the full colour preview and excerpts of the Amiga Future issue 149 (March/April 2021) can now be viewed online on the Amiga Future website.

Some of the interesting articles in this issue are:

Interview Adrian Cummings
Review AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition - Update 2
Review MiSTer

Of course there's so MUCH more actually in the magazine.

Needless to say you often get other versions of software, often what was commercially available, as well as some of the latest try-outs or freely released software applications and games for, hopefully, all of the Amiga type Operating systems, so that's Amiga 'Classic', OS4, MorphOS, and AROS, including some PD software for these systems, all on the Readers' cover CD.

A detailed description of content and excerpts of this current issue can be found at: http://www.amigafuture.de/kb.php?mode=cat&cat=13

The Amiga Future magazine is available as an English and German printed magazine - every issue is available in FULL COLOUR - directly available from the magazine editorial office and also from various other Amiga dealers.

Single issues can be ordered here: https://www.amigashop.org/index.php?cPath=23
And for the sake of clarity, you can order the subscriptions here: https://www.amigashop.org/index.php?cPath=41

Amiga Future: cheats database Update

The cheats database of Amiga Future is updated weekly by David Jahn, even if at first sight that is not immediately apparent.

The cheat database on the Amiga Future webpage is probably the largest German collection for the Amiga.

This doesn't just cover cheats, as many solutions, tips and tricks, as well as Freezer addresses can be found in the collection.

Don't forget you can find more than 3400 Games Cheats and solutions in the database, and there are always more being added.

The database is currently entirely in German, but if we receive enough donations for the website, we have plans to integrate a full-blown online database, which will also be available in English.

The magazine index contains all article titles from the Amiga Future editions.
This makes it easier to find a specific article in over 20 years of Amiga Future.

Amiga Future Promotion: Sample issue for 1 cent

Many Amiga users still don't know of the Amiga Future magazine. Sadly, all the events and fairs where you could have met magazine staff and looked through an Amiga Future issue have been cancelled this year. That's why we decided to offer you some sample issues.

We want you to become familiar with the magazine and feel the benefits it has to offer, so we hope you will consider ordering a subscription to the Amiga Future magazine.

Anyway, you can order a sample issue of the Amiga Future from our online shop https://www.amigashop.org for only 1 cent plus shipping costs. We are sure you understand that we need to charge shipping costs, as we're a hobby publisher.

The sample issue is merely an older regular issue of the Amiga Future.

Via the URL https://www.amigashop.org/product_in...roducts_id=321 you can choose to receive either the German or English sample issue.

The sample issue may suffer a slight delay of just a few days, as the latest edition of the Amiga Future is due to be released in the next few days, so as a result we are still extremely busy finalising that issue.

We cannot estimate how great the interest might be in these sample issues, but in any case there is no time limit on this offer, but once the sample issues are no longer listed in the shop, all sold, then the campaign and being able to buy one of these samples, will end.

Here is a link to the information about the Amiga Future: https://www.amigafuture.de/app.php/info/

In any case you can find and read, for free, more than 100 issues of the Amiga Future online: https://www.amigafuture.de/app.php/kb/index

You can also find us on: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and there is also a free Android app. https://www.amigafuture.de/app.php/everywhere

Amiga Future: New full versions online

The download area of the Amiga Future was updated today. So, you can now find the following full versions online:

DreamWeb

An overview of the recent uploads and changes to the download database of Amiga Future is also available from this link:

https://www.amigafuture.de/app.php/dlext/latest

Of course we also want to be able to offer you many more full versions online, but to be able to achieve this, for you, we need your help, so ...

We are on the lookout for the Copyright holders for Amiga games and applications.
Do you know of any such person or can you actively help us in our search?
If so, then please contact us by email.

We are looking for extra support in order to revise the full versions download area of the Amiga Future webpage.
In particular, to check whether all those full versions formats (ADF, IPF, WHDLoad, AGA, CD releases, etc.) are complete.
In addition, a short description, in 2 sentences or less, about each of their system requirements and some screenshots need to be created.
If you want to help us, then please send us an email.

Amiga Future looking for Copyright Holder

As you all probably know, on the Amiga Future homepage and on the magazine cover CD we publish full versions of commercial titles. Not only that, we even include FULL shareware versions where possible.

It does not matter actually whether they are games, applications, drivers, or entire CDs. We want to get our hands (legally) on any and all FULL commercial, and shareware titles.

In order to do this legally, we always require the permission of the software's respective owner(s).

The greatest problem we have though is to actually find out who the owners are. Then comes the next problem, that of actually making contact with each/all respective copyright holder(s).

In order to achieve our goal, for you our loyal readers, we are asking for your help.

Are you in direct contact with any such copyright holders of shareware or commercial software?
Do you know any of them personally or have you had contact recently with anyone that fits these criteria?

If so, then please send us an email to: redaktion@amigafuture.de

Amiga Future is on the lookout for major re-inforcements in our 25th year

As our printed issues of the Amiga Future magazine has been in regular publication for almost 25 years, it is now time to massively increase our team that edits the magazine and webpage. The intention is to spread the workload of our entire team and to divide it over more shoulders, so the workload for each editorial team member involved gets reduced, though as a result of this staff increase, we also want to increase its overall quality.

So, that the next 25 years will be somewhat easier for everyone involved.

The list of personnel we are looking for is quite long:

* Editors for the print edition of the Amiga Future
* Translators for the print edition of the Amiga Future
* News editors for the Amiga Future homepage
* Full commitment on the Amiga Future webpage
* Advertising management for the magazine and website
* Maybe offer some suggestions for how else you can assist us?

Editors for the printed issues of the Amiga Future
****************************************************
We are particularly interested in coverage of these areas:

* Demo scene
* Applications 68k
* Games 68k, AmigaOS4, MorphOS
* Hardware (all system areas)

Would you like to work on our print magazine for the Amiga that has been around for almost 25 years?

Then just get in touch with us.

The following requirements are these, but should go without saying:

* You should own an Amiga, which is logical!
* You should not only own your Amiga, but use it. As in, you need to know the way your Amiga generally works.
* Your spelling doesn't need to be perfect but reasonably OK.
* It is of course ideal if you have already written reports.
* Of course you should also have enough spare time to invest with us and interest in doing so.

Translator for the print edition of the Amiga Future
****************************************************
The Amiga Future is in German and English.
As a result, articles have to be translated into each respective language.
We have sufficient translators for the Amiga Future.
However, when it comes to submitting articles, many text files need to be translated in a relatively short time. This is our famous bottleneck that regularly creates undue and unwelcome stress to all.
So, we want to permanently solve this problem.

To alleviate this problem, we are looking for more translators to bolster support for our printed issues of Amiga Future.

Our requirements are that you should possess good grammar and spelling in your own language (German or English) and also understand the German or English language as well.

That is so you are able to understand what you are translating. However, basic knowledge of the Amiga is necessary in all cases.

News editors for the Amiga Future homepage
***********************************************
The news area of the Amiga Future webpage has grown a lot over the last few years, but that's not enough for our needs.
In the long term it is our goal that all Amiga news can be found on the Amiga Future webpage, and of course we also want more in-depth news.

Some users already take care of the news on the webpage, but we still need to achieve our long-term goals as well, so major reinforcement in the news team is still required.

Full versions for the Amiga Future homepage
*******************************************
We continue to publish full commercial versions on the Amiga Future webpage, as we have done for many years.
The aim is to offer users improved free and legal download options.

The effort to enable this is now somewhat overwhelming:

As the rights holder for such software must be found. That alone is often very difficult.
After that you need to have their permission to publish such software.
In many cases, the software itself has to be searched around for.
At the end of the day, a package has to be put together, which can then be published on our webpage.

So, we are looking for users who can support us as independently as possible.

Advertising in the magazine and on the website
**********************************************
In our Amiga Future printed magazine we are currently quite well supported with advertisements.
Nevertheless, we are constantly looking for other long term advertisers for the magazine.

It looks a little different on the Amiga Future webpage. We also have advertisements there, but not as much as we'd like.
We are quite openly looking for long-term advertisers there.

Advertising is a very important benefit to us, as advertising greatly supports our costs.

Without advertising, a magazine like our Amiga Future, as well as our webpage, would not be possible in the long term.

How else can you help us?
*****************************
- We look forward to each and every subscription and recommendation that is made for our magazine, both of which are greatly appreciated.
We have a constantly increasing circulation, which is obviously good news for our magazine.
However, for our goals to be achieved, a boosted content edition is required.

- Provided that we can supplement our editorial team for the magazine, one of our next goals is to permanently increase the number of pages in the Amiga Future. However, this will require additional subscribers as well as sufficient long-term advertising customers. A sponsor wouldn't be a bad thing either, but that is probably unrealistic.

- We also want to improve distributing messages about the Amiga Future magazine.
Do you have a news page, a blog or something similar and would like to publish news reports about the Amiga Future? Then contact us. We are happy to add you into our News distribution list.

- We are continually looking for places where we could add meaningful (!) advertising for the Amiga Future.

- From the start of this year we have been getting to grips with using our new software to manage subscribers, bills and other data.
Now, at last, it is possible to send Amiga Future subscription invoices via email. If someone wants to accept a subscription offer sent that way then please contact us directly, as it saves us a lot of work when placing the invoices.

- With our new software, it is now easier to manage subscription bills by direct debit, which also saves us more time.
We hope that as many readers as possible will use the direct debit method of payment. You can find a PDF form for this purpose at the URL: http://www.apc-tcp.de/lastschrift.pdf
Currently, direct debits are only possible within Germany.

The Amiga Future magazine - Issue 150 preview is now available to view online

This is the full colour preview and excerpts of the Amiga Future issue 150 (May/June 2021) can now be viewed online on the Amiga Future website.

Some of the interesting articles in this issue are:

Interview Alinea
Review ApolloOS
Workshop mySync

Of course there's so MUCH more actually in the magazine.

Needless to say you often get other versions of software, often what was commercially available, as well as some of the latest try-outs or freely released software applications and games for, hopefully, all of the Amiga type Operating systems, so that's Amiga 'Classic', OS4, MorphOS, and AROS, including some PD software for these systems, all on the Readers' cover CD.

A detailed description of content and excerpts of this current issue can be found at: http://www.amigafuture.de/kb.php?mode=cat&cat=13

An overview of the recent uploads and changes to the download database of Amiga Future is also available from this link:

* Demo scene
* Applications 68k
* Games 68k, AmigaOS4, MorphOS
* Hardware (all system areas)

The Amiga Future magazine is available as an English and German printed magazine - every issue is available in FULL COLOUR - directly available from the magazine editorial office and also from various other Amiga dealers.

The history of the Amiga Future

A few days ago issue 150 of Amiga Future was published.

Appropriately, we have now published a small article about the history of the Amiga Future.

We have also started some small campaigns for issue 150 which you can read at http://150.amigafuture.de.
A few other small campaigns will also be started.

In the history of the Amiga Future you can find out why we still don't celebrate it with a big party, even though it's issue 150.

Amiga Future 150 and so on

Issue 150 of Amiga Future was published on May 5, 2021.
At first glance, many readers may now think that we have actually 25 years of printing the magazine under our belt.
However, that's not entirely true, as the first issue of Amiga Future magazine was number 11, yes really!

So, it will still take a while for the Amiga Future magazine to reach 25 years of age, but we are well on our way there.

Anyway, 150, the big 1 - 5 - 0, one hundred and fifty, is a great number to reach!
Nevertheless, we decided that we should publish our entirely usual edition for issue 150 of the Amiga Future.

So, the really big fanfare ... in the Cologne exhibition halls with hundreds of celebrities from all over the world ... what with the gilt booklet cover and the personal handover of issues to all subscribers by the Amiga Future Choir (which has still to be founded) ... ahem, we will be saving all that for our 25th year jubilee.

As we really want to let rip, at least that's the plan, and in any case we want to do much more on the internet.

As there is still a lot to get prepared for our 25th year jubilee, not least of which would be the founding of the Amiga Future Choir, so, any volunteers? Also, we want to enhance other parts of the magazine too, in order for the 25th year jubilee to run smoothly for all involved.

We want to get things going on the Amiga Future page http://150.amigafuture.de, but there will also need to be some contacts made, and naturally we also want to show in which direction the Amiga Future should move forward.

So by all means Just take a look at http://150.amigafuture.de or our news pages from when you get the chance to do so.

Amiga Future subscription campaign for more pages

An Amiga Future issue currently has 52 (+4) pages.
+4 means that we temporarily have four additional pages in each issue due to the amount of advertisements.

However, we generally want to increase the number of pages in the Amiga Future in order to have more space for editorial content.
There is more than enough for testing. We only need the space for it and of course a few editors and translators as well.

In order to be able to finance this permanently, we simply need more subscribers. Well ... a couple of long-term advertisers for the magazine and homepage wouldn't be bad either, but this is only about the subscribers and the number of pages.

We have calculated the whole thing more precisely. In order to be able to finance four additional pages, we need 24 NEW subscribers. For eight pages we need 46 NEW subscribers.
Ideally, subscriptions with CoverCD.

That's why we started a counter with immediate effect. If we create 24 new subscriptions by the 10th June , we will have four more pages in each issue of the Amiga Future in the future. With 46 new subscriptions even eight pages more.

And if there are more than 48 new subscriptions ... Well, let's think about it if the miracle should really happen.

You can find the current status of the campaign on the Amiga Future Webpage at the top.

The Amiga Future magazine - Issue 151 preview is now available to view online

This is the full colour preview and excerpts of the Amiga Future issue 151 (July/August 2021) can now be viewed online on the Amiga Future website.

Some of the interesting articles in this issue are:

Interview Michael Borrmann (Inviyya)
Preview AmigaOS 3.2.
Review Hibernated 1: Director`s Cut

Amiga Future search:

Editors for the printed issues of the Amiga Future
**************************************************
We are particularly interested in coverage of these areas:

* Demo scene
* Applications 68k
* Games 68k, AmigaOS4, MorphOS
* Hardware (all system areas)

Would you like to work on our print magazine for the Amiga that has been around for almost 25 years?

Then just get in touch with us.

Free download of the AFA Viewer: https://www.amigafuture.de/app.php/dlext/index?cat=78

Due to an unplanned short trip to the local hospital, no emails and orders could be processed for about a week. We are currently doing everything we can to catch up. All orders should be on their way to you by Wednesday at the latest. As a result, the planned release of the Amiga Future DVD # 5 will be postponed by a few days.

Amiga Future Archive DVD # 5 now available

The Amiga Future Archive DVD # 5 has now been released to buy.

These are professionally mastered discs, so they include a colour image printed onto the upper surface of the DVD9 disc which contains over 6 GB of data. Even though it might not be a problem in principle, please make sure that your optical drive can read DVD9 discs.

You will also require a PDF viewer that can read at least 1.5 of the PDF standard.

On this Amiga Future Archive DVD # 5 you will find the following issues of the Amiga Future magazine as PDFs:

German: Amiga Future issues 11 - 142
English: Amiga Future issues 67 - 142

The issues 11 to 26 have needed to be scanned as the original articles text and image data was no longer available, which is not ideal, but was the only way to include these issues. So, unfortunately, their quality is not exactly perfect.
However, all the other issues, both German and English are actually very high quality PDFs.

Issue 11 was the first German Amiga Future issue that was published.
Issue 67 was the first English magazine of the Amiga Future.

So there are over 20 years of Amiga Future history on this DVD.

Sadly there is no way to offer an update option for purchases of earlier versions of the Amiga Future Archive DVD, which we trust you will understand.
