FAO people dealing with DoogUK

As you may or may not know this guys has disappeared from EAB while owing myself and another poster items/cash.

Could I please ask anyone who knows him, to contact him and 'have a word' and tell him to get these things sorted.

The monies he 'appears' to have conned from me amounts to under 56 quid.

I really really don't think he is doing a con job, because he had the opportunity to get a couple of Amiga items from me at the same time, and said he didn't need them.

Any help would be appreciated.

I thought this was all resolved. There was a post a while back about this (I can't be bothered to search at the moment but if you do you'll find it).

I bought an A2000 from Doog and went down to collect it. He was a really nice guy and was in the process of moving. He's also had a very rough time of it late. I don't think he's the sort of person who would purposely take anyones cash and not send the item so he may just have got side tracked.

He'll be back in a couple of weeks no doubt. Last time his sister was sick.

Macca, that was probably my post/thread you're thinking of, and in the end it was resolved which is why it has been deleted. Unfortunately, xytec has had his cheque cashed and can't get hold of doug...

So it's the same situation again, unfortunately.

This has happened once before, but the problems were resolved to everyone's satisfaction when Doog returned, and the relevant posts were deleted by the complainants.

I'm sure that everything will be resolved in just the same way when Doog returns once more. So please be patient.

Edit: I would actually like to speak with him myself, but it's not about anything as important as what's giving you cause for concern.

It was your post I was thinking about Chiark!

I have faith in Doog and I'm sure he'll be back when he gets chance.

I'm sure he will be back I have not been on here for a while either due to being extremely busy! Doog let me have an A500 a while ago just for the cost of postage and i had to wait a little while for it to arrive and i assumed he is just a busy person.

EDIT: oh dear i just read about the stroke Hope he gets well soon!

Have you read this? Can take quite a bit time to recover from a stroke. Maybe you want to contact Xytec and ask him for the phone number he has.

Speaking from experience (my gf recently had a brain haemorrage) I'd say take the hit on your cash for now and don't pester him for money. A stroke is a massive event in anyones life and right now £50 to him will mean nothing. His life will mean everything.

Sorry to jump on a thread I know nothing about or the people involved but having gone through a similar experience from a partners point of view, getting well is foremost on his mind right now.

Get well soon!
