Error explanation??

I get this error when trying to set up the XT drive in my A590. "Error -1 on write!". Does this mean crook drive? Or worse? Hopefully drive only, as I am going to replace with a larger scsi anyway. From memory they use scsi II???

After some toying with the 590 setup disk, it appears to be riddled with bad sectors. Each time I scan the drive I find more and add them to the bad list. So a replacement drive will be on the cards for sure methinks. Not easy to find 50 pin scsi drives below 1gig. Are the limitation similar to the A1200? ie 4 gig?

4GB should work, yes.

Chuck out the XT drive, it's not worth any hassle. 150kB/s transfer rates.. Plug in a SCSI drive and you get 1,5MB/s!

Now all I need is to find a scsi drive of that vintage. Everything is 68 and 80 pin, with 18gb and up.

Just found a scsi se 2.1 gig... Scsi SE?? Any good, or not compatible?????

50 pin scsi is usually single ended. What's the make and model number of the drive?
