Oh what! You want useful information?

Randomly (on both machines) I get:
  • Hang
  • Reboot
  • 80000003 exception
  • 8000000A exception
  • 8000000B exception
Not sure if that really helps?

(This is in the version of GPMark_WOS from Aminet)

Those are 68K gurus. Not sure what the problem is. Did you increase stack? Original WarpOS has no safeguards built-in like my library has. I should test on my CSPPC.

Hmm, the GPMark icon assigns a stack of 9MB and crashes, so I don't think that's it (also confirmed by manually setting a large stack and running from CLI).

As I recall it was around the 24th that the libs were updated to support CSPPC, GPMark is from the 13th.

Here, try the improved GPMark from OS4Depot. These were used to generate the numbers you've seen in this thread. Also see

http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforu...d=7707&forum=3

for more numbers. These were compiled after the fix. I need to update Aminet.

Warp3D is not that faster. Plus my A3000 has been disassembled for now.

Sent an update to Aminet. It is very slow on the CSPPC, however. Wonder if it is cache (or the lack thereof) related.

Yep, that version of GPMark_WOS works fine on CSPPC and BPPC. Here are the results:

CSPPC (360MHz)+CVPPC
GPmark improved, version: 2018 January 12
Surface dimensions: 640 * 480
Surface is located in RAM
Surface must be locked: false
Display mode: fullscreen
Blitting Test: 18.7
Plasma: 18.5
Rotozoomer: 17.3
Rotozoomer Near: 18.6
Rotozoomer Far: 14.8
Radial Blur: 6.9
3D Bunny: 3.6

So a bit better than half the speed of the Sonnet, particularly where caches matter. TBH, it does better than I expected, maybe because of the fast bus between 604 and Permedia?

But if you think that's slow, take a look at the BPPC:

BPPC (330MHz) + Voodoo3
GPmark improved, version: 2018 January 12
Surface dimensions: 640 * 480
Surface is located in RAM
Surface must be locked: false
Display mode: fullscreen
Blitting Test: 8.2
Plasma: 8.2
Rotozoomer: 6.3
Rotozoomer Near: 8.2
Rotozoomer Far: 4.2
Radial Blur: 1.6
3D Bunny: 1.6

Welcome to the slideshow!

Guys, before everybody goes out and buys expensive cards, the harrier has not proven itself to be as stable as the sonnet or rapture yet. I take no responsibility for throwing away your money.

yeah i already threw away my money for you guys just so we can work on this stuff no need for you to

we are trying to make these a cheap easily obtainable accelerator by supporting what we can

real sad thing about all of this is the fact we cant use cards that have 2 or more cpus due to OS

I guess your A3000 lives!?

What settings are you using for Q2 and Q3?

Quick question: is it necessary to call InitPPC any more or does the library initialise itself these days when it's first referenced?

Yes. Otherwise PPC code will load in the highest priority RAM (Amiga fast RAM) and the PPC will throw an instruction exception.

Thanks. I have a vague feeling it just worked recently when I left out the InitPPC call in startup-sequence but maybe I'm deluded!

Rapture 450mhz voodoo3 gets 53fps for cowcat Q2 (640x480 vertex lighting, sound on) and 48.3 for Cowcat Q1. Not tried vertex lighting Q3.
