Rat Trap freeze (WinUAE - FSUAE)

Hi there.

I Tired almost every version of Rat Trap. Tosec, Gamebase, you name it. The 2 discs version, the one disc version.
I also tried the WHDLOAD version.

I tried with several versions of FS-UAE and WinUAE. I altered evry setting I could think of (RAM, floppy speed, blitter, kickstart even collision level...)

And the game freeze.

The easiest way to reproduce is to go on first level, first world and to go right on this wall :

As if you want to go through it.

The music will keep on playing but you cannot move any more, and the mice stop moving.

If it was the only moment... it would be fine, but it also happen randomly.

I know it's the previous version of Krusty's Fun House. But I would like to try this game.

If you know a version, and the most important, settings that are ok, please help. Giving the version and the settings.
If you know if this bug is "normal" and there is no way around it, please say so.

I've just tried the GameBase version, it's working fine. I've not used any special config, so I'm really not sure why it's not working for you.

Ok let's be specific.

I use WinUae 4.4.0 and the game found in gamebase 2.3 (Disk A & B) :

* Rat trap Disk A, adf. CRC32 : 7e4684fb MD5 : 7139570237593d5a0293f3fb2705f360
* Rat trap Disk B, adf. CRC 32 : c3986e2e MD5 : 8d868171fd3ad0693ffe321e595e0af4

I boot with disk A - Ok
Intro starts, Intro fisnihes, Requiring Disk B - Ok
Title Screen, I launch the game - Ok
Go to world 1 - Ok



Go to stage 1 - Ok



Go to the wall, go to left, go to right, got to left ,go to right, go to left : FREEZE and the music keeps playing.



I used the default A500 settings :



And tried many tuning (ram, kickstart, etc, etc.). May I have more info on the settings and the emulator you used ?

Ok. I Got It !!!

Here is what happens : I play with my keyboard.

And if I push the button left and right to quickly, and the keys are pushed in the same time (which is not supposed to be possible using a real joystick), game crashes.

I let the saved state posted on the previous message online if someday, someone want to patch this (but the problem is not difficult to reproduce).
