Inline graphics in MultiView
Hi guys, with OS3.2 you can have inline graphics, is this also possible with 3.1 using datatypes or is it an inherent part of OS3.2 only?

Years ago there was a hyperguide.datatype that extended the basic Amiga guide.datatype functionality with things like images and what not.

PowerGuide (Aminet CDs used it) should do this if I remember right.

It seems that PowerGuide (or Guideance, a reader that has support for PowerGuide files) uses a different method to embed images. At least it is not displaying the ones in the WhatIff.guide.
I haven't found a PowerGuide with images, although I didn't really looked for one, so I don't know how it works. The simplest solution would probably be just to link to the images so they open in the same window with older amigaguide readers. The only downside would be that on 3.2 the image and the link would be shown. Code:
A link to @{"another file" link "images/image1.iff"} Last edited by EctoOne; 08 August 2024 at 01:36. |

DOpus5 its documentation comes in Multiview and PowerGuide version. The PowerGuide version contains 181 images. It seems it uses following syntax:
Code:
@image "path/to/image" |

I only had the disk images of DOpus5 which does not have the PowerGuide version but I found them on the CD image. Seems though that Guideance does not show the images despite having some sort of compatibility with PowerGuide.
Looks nice, though. I tried PowerGuide 2.12 beta 1 from Aminet CD 52. |
