Just to be sure, have you tried looking online for the name of the islands? You might stumble upon a written FAQ for the game.
I tried a bit (to no avail ) but I am not sure I have typpen the correct name (a bit difficult to read on the current scan). |

just spent 30+ minutes hammering Google.
TBH that illegible scribble used for the island names makes it near impossible to be certain of what they're actually called. I don't think you're going to find your game. |

Yeah I've been goggling all afternoon
For a while I thought it might be 'Pirates' but it doesn't seem to be. I was hoping someone would recognise it, and maybe they will eventually. |

Mouldy Island I think too.
There is also Langour (Harry ?) Island Perhaps a French game then since we spell "langoureux" for languorous (although languor is "langueur") I am pretty sure it is not Pirates. A friend of mine had it on PC and the whole shape of the land masses was quite different. Besides there were a lot of islands and cities with Spanish names. |

Besides we already know how the map of Pirates looks like: http://hol.abime.net/1073/miscshot
Could the stuff on the bottom say '<something> factory locations' and '<something> airport locations'? That would mean it's more a contemporary game and not (like I first thought too) a game set in the past. |

I think this is "Bungiling", so possibly the game title is Raid on Bungiling Bay (NES).

OT: How is a map of that quality acceptable? Was that kind of shoddy 'place names written on with a fountain pen' then photocopied thousands of time practice common 'back in the day'? Imagine the outcry nowadays if games like Oblivion and Skyrim came with a map like that |
