Floppy emulator
Hi all,
I'm thinking to buy a SD Floppy Emulator to replace my A500 floppy disk drive. I've read all the emulators features but I'm not sure what model should I buy in order to use my adf images (once converted to emulator's format) from SD card. Anybody knows? is the LCD screen the only difference between models? BTW, is any soldering required? Thanks in advance and excuse my english. Regards. |

normal version http://www.lotharek.pl/product.php?pid=13 slim version http://www.lotharek.pl/product.php?pid=91 see here for the slim in a a500 http://www.amibay.com/showthread.php...light=slim+hxc or here http://www.amibay.com/showthread.php...loppy+emulator no soldering for standard use plugs straight into floppy port as replacement using exisisting floppy power and cable |

I should be getting the Slim version next week and I plan on mounting it in an empty floppy case.
I also plan to use the original eject button to operate the Slim. |

Not 100% sure until I get mine but, according to the website only partial IPF support for the SD card version and read only support for the USB version.

Is there easy way to connect this together with DF0: floppy drive with a switch or something?

I suspect this would be possible to create a custom switch (i.e. to switch between the 'active' cable) which would be easiest. Although, it would be more interesting if both could be active at the same time!?

if emulator could mount all four drives at once, would be interesting & useful.

Hi all,
my hxc slim have arrived today. I've testing a little and works very well. The controls are a bit confusing the first time, but it's a very useful gadget IMO. I must test it better, but I seems like supports up to two drives at once (at least you can insert floppies in a: and b: drives). |
