Mouse wheel in Winuae

Hello,

I tried to redirect the arrow keys "cursor up" and "cursor down" on the mouse wheel. It works, but when scrolling up / down, the key will be pressed until the wheel is scrolled in the opposite direction, etc.

(The Amiga scroll continues to run when the wheel is stopped.)

It should be?

Mouse wheel does not generate press/release event pairs which explains the problem. I don't remember if there was some workaround.

Thank you Toni, I also assumed that this is a hardware problem.

Toni, I traced the behavior of the wheel and keys for comparison. Green Key - released. Maybe just replace $7A on $CC and $7B on $CD RAW keycodes? At least for these two keys.

If the amiga software reads 2 states, then not everything is lost?

Problem is that actually Amiga can read 3 button and mouse wheel. More about it is here. WinUAE have action already on 3rd button which collide with 3rd (middle) mouse button handling on emulated Amiga and probably have not wheel handling.

What You are doing is not mouse wheel handling but mapping keys to mouse wheel movements. Freewheel is reading real mouse actions.

Only the mapping keys to mouse wheel movements interests me.

So read again what Toni wrote. It's fault neither hardware nor software but different handling of signals.
