Brian Clough's Football Fortunes.... What was in the box?

Just obtained this, but on disk for the Amstrad CPC, and wondered if anyone has the Amiga Version (or any other version) to compare if mine is complete? It appears so but just wondered what came in other peoples game box!

Mine comes with the following:

1 x Disk
1 x Game Board
1 x Instruction Card A5 size, basically A4 folded in half but no artwork/logo, just printed in A5 format
5 x Coloured Round Plastic Counters
6 x Immunity Cards
10 x Blank Player Cards
5 x League Champions Cards (£500,000 Value)
8 x League Runners Up Cards (£300,000 Value)
6 x League Third Place Cards (£200,000 Value)
4 x Cup Winners Cards (£300,000 Value)
4 x Cup Runners Up Cards (£200,000 Value)
8 x Cup Semi-Finalist Cards (£100,000 Value)
115 x Player Cards
20 x Orange Paper Money (100,000 Value)
20 x Blue Paper Money (50,000 Value)
20 x Pink Paper Money (20,000 Value)
20 x Yellow Paper Money (10,000 Value)
20 x Green Paper Money (5,000 Value

Talk about 'feelies' coming with games

Have now obatined another copy of this game and all the cards are intact, not separated from each other and it matches the 112 Player Cards, 10 Blank Player Cards and 6 Immunity Cards of the above plus all the other bits! There are 8 perforated cards with 16 game cards on each one, so that totals 128 cards and matches the total on the box, 112 + 10 + 6 = 128.

However, there are no Trophy Cards (League or Cup Winners) and they are not mentioned in the manual either? There is an Archimedes version for sale here:
Code:
http://www.oldfootballgames.co.uk/index.asp?pageid=72464
That shows the Trophy Cards so have no idea what they are for?

There was also a Board Game of this released using the same cards called Super League Football Manager:
Code:
http://www.oldfootballgames.co.uk/index.asp?pageid=124744
This shows the Trophy Cards as well so again, no idea why some copies of the computer version had those Trophy Cards and other versions didn't and what purpose they served? Did they mistakenly put these cards in the the computer version when making the Board Game I wonder?

Mystery deepens!

Obtained a copy of Sporting Winners that is a compilation including Brian Clough's Football Fortunes and that has everything as the first post, including the Trophy Cards. Only minor discrepancy is it has 114 player cards as Red Attacker 3 Star cards there only 5 not 6! First post edited as it states 117 Player cards when it should be 115!

No mention of the Trophy Cards in the instructions again so really have no clue as to what purpose they serve?

So, does anyone have connections with any ex CDS employees or the programmers to ask? HOL has no listing for the 'Artists' on Brian Clough's Football Fortunes and WOS only lists the Spectrum Author as 'ROB', cpcrulez and bbcmicro mentions Mike Williams as the Author for the Amstrad CPC/BBC yet looking on HOL he's only listed as a 'Graphician' not programmer and Mobygames only lists Nik Sen of Cirrus Software for the C16/C64 versions!

There is a remake in the making, maybe they know more about this. In case you might want to ask them:

Yep, been looking at that site but nothing doing yet and they only use Facebook which I avoid like the plague and will be a Kickstarter eventually which I also avoid like the plague as well, so

Giles Hunter will be the chap to know, he was the MD of CDS and helped manage/launch the game!

I think that is a very rare version as it says 'Football Fortunes 2' and no other copies on ebay say that as they are not the same game, just similar name!! It does indeed mention the 35 Trophy Cards and also 115 player cards, so one of my copies is complete and the other is missing a 3 Star Red Attacker card!

So at least thay are mentioned but still no info on how they were used in the game!

There is pic of it here as welll:
Code:
https://medium.com/football-fortunes-2017/q-a-with-keith-mcleman-the-creator-of-football-fortunes-2-european-super-league-69348d67ca7c
That also mentions the Trophy Cards and shows a picture of them too, also mentions it was only released on C64!

OK, found the Leeds United Board Game which has the Trophy Cards included and they are explained in the manual like so:

So, as far as the board game goes, the Trophy Cards are explained. But, it still doesn't explain why they were included is some computer versions yet the instructions never mention them?

If the trophy cards are just traded in for points at the end of the game, and not really used during the game, maybe the computer is keeping track of the points, making the cards redundant?

Just a guess; I've never played the game and wasn't even aware of its existence before this thread

In that case, why include them? I think I also looked at a hexedit of the program and there is no mention of the trophy cards in that!
