welcome back well lets see... 1. What good C compliers well there is gcc c that is a little over weight but on an 030 is a nice one to use... also Storm C / SAS and DICE (the latter i will always love for its speed) 2. Sound hmmm this is a crux, there is AHI and supporting libraries, and thats about it really the rest will be up to you... Aminet has some coding examples with some trackers and sources so you can include them in your code. best thing is to search... 3. the beauty of C is that you can complie it to ASM, and then as i used to 'tweek' certain routines, this is also a great way to beging learning ASM in my book. just remember to comment your code. i think the line of "dcc myprog.c -a" would complie it to asm. inso far as C like tools there is Blitz basic, some great games have come from this, another tool to look at is Back Bone. alas i have not used this but it boasts some impressive results. |
