Need help with furia

I have a furia020 installed in one a600 and it works fine, 8mb fast ram.
Now I want to install this in another a600 in which I installed 2 extra ram chips (piggyback method) so this one has 2mb chipmem, however when I do this the furia works but is configured for 4mb fast ram.
Why does this happen, and how can I fix this?
There is nothing installed in the PCMCIA slot b.t.w.

I had a issue like that. In the end the problem was the reset circuit.
I did not immediately understand where the problem was, because, except for the furia which start with 4 MB less, everything was working without problems.

I received a private msg about this, it was indeed related to the reset circuit.

Quote"It is necessary to replace the SMD capacitor C612 10uF.
If the old capacitor reset is too long..."

This capacitor was removed on the a600, when replaced the furia is working as it should.

Thanks all for the help, leaving this info for reference for other users...

C612, and the electrolytics in general, are the main cause of problems.

But in this case is possible to have the same issue even with a brand new C612.
In my case for example, C612 was new, and by checking the charge/discharge time everything was ok. All the resets timing in general looks very good. But, I still had the problem with the furia.

My suggestion is to start replacing C612, but if the issue persist, to change also other components on the reset circuit, the 555 for start.

Why would you "piggy back" ram chips anyway...?

My Furia works fine with a A604n etc
