ClassicWB dual boot - hiding desktop icons

It is my first post here! I am dual booting ClassicWB-ADVSP and ClassicWB-OS39, everything is fine but in both versions, the icons such as Run or Clear RAM appear twice. Having two different Run menus may count as nice as they offer different things but it also gets annoying sometimes. There is a delete option but I am worried as it may delete from both.

Icons are either in or out, I recommend just disable the other partition in the early boot menu

Type this command:

Assign Dismount "volume name", example:

Assign Dismount DH1:

Once this is done the DH1 volume will disappear with its icons

If you don't want to type create a script with an icon to run the command (The disappearance of the Volume is only fictitious, if you go to Dopus and digitize DH1: you will see its data anyway, even if it won't be visible on the Workbench)

At the next reboot, everything will go back to the way it was before

I guess you could add that to the user startup of each partition so depending on what you were to boot you would only see the intended? I have a couple of dual boot setups but always went with the early startup method. Don't suppose you can advise how to get a boot menu where you would choose your OS to take it one step further?

Yes with WinUAE you can also do it with 3.4 but no more OS just have a Menu and disable "boot" see attached video.

In this case instead of using the Assign command you can use the Dismount application that you find HERE on Aminet

On a genuine AMiGA you have to find a way to disable "boot" on the partition to disable, you can do it with HDToolbox or with an tools that does the same thing.

With OS 3.5/3.9 you can disable a Volume from Workbench Prefs
