Hardframe 2000

Im having problems Amiga DOS formatting a hard drive.
I have a Hardframe 2000 installed in my Amiga B 2000 (4.4 motherboard) . My old drive (ST-296N) works and Ive recently installed, formatted, and copied files to it but it sounds like its about to fly apart!!!

I also have a Quantum fireball HD Im trying to get going. Its on the hardframe compatable list. Using the Hardframe software I can low level format and partition it. It sees the drive/partitions. File managers can see the drive/partitions. However when I try to format it with Amiga dos I get a format/initialization error on the first cylinder of any particular partition.
This drive was working when it was in a PC but I realize that doesn't mean its still working.

Any ideas?

Shaf,

Its a Quantum Fireball TM 3.5 series
Product Fireball TM 2110S Revision 300x

There are four sets of 2 pin jumpers. None of them have the black jumper blocks attached.

The jumper pins are labeled are TE,A0,A1,A2

Termination table says default TE=1 , Default SCSI=6
The table is really confusing. Its been years since I worked with SCSI

Hmmm, maybe I need to find some jumper blocks to connect some pins, just kinda dawned on me the SCSI number needs to be set? Either that or the drive is bad or not compatible.

Try format quick instead of regular format?

You should jumper TE and leave the A jumpers out.
