Emerald Web (Emerald Mines website)
I am the maintainer of Emerald Web which features downloads of many Emerald Mine club disks and Emerald Mine/Boulderdash clones for the Amiga.
Anyone who's been there lately will note it has not been updated for over four years. This was partly due to a lack of time on my part, and the fact that I'd run out of disks to add to the site. I have since collected a small number of things to add, and there are some extra disks in TOSEC that I don't have access to. So, I was wondering if there is enough interest out there to warrant an update of the website. (or if there is someone keen that would like to take over the maintenance of the site or even redevelop it as it is messy static html). address: http://amiga.emucamp.com/emerald/ |

Hey!
Is this offer still standing? I'm the author of DX Boulderdash, an emerald mines clone for the PC (which died several years ago) I'm a webdeveloper nowadays, plenty of webspace and a genuine interest in Emerald Mines :-) I love your site! in fact, your site was the main reason the reverse engineer the ADF format so I could grab the EM levels straight from the adf disks to play them in DX Boulderdash heheh :-) It would be a shame to let all your effort and your brilliant collection fade away. So: if you need a hand: shout! I would be more then happy to maintain it and/or redevelop it to a database driven site, with upload functionality etc ... I've emailed Steffest.
Thankfully the EM files are still on the server (just logged on to the ftp) but it looks like the doc root has been changed in apache so I can't get the site back up. |
