hi guys,

i have a a500 Rev6 and the keyboard was faulty, so I replaced to a keyboard from Rev6, the problem its that the capslock begins to flash and the keyboard doesnt work. And some times it works fine.

Anyone knows why?

Normally indicates you are turning the machine off and on too quickly.
Keyboard isn't resetting properly.

Circuitry associated with the keyboard needs a few seconds to power-down after you switch the machine off, caps to discharge etc.

ThanKs Red, but I think thats not the main problem, because when it starts OK, some times I change the disks, and when I changing it the capslock start to fash again

Oi landex.

Como estás? Bem? Então vamos atacar vosso problema!

Back to English:

The keyboard version don't matter.

Did you put that metal braid in contact with the floppy unit? If not, you are running into problems for free.

If you have some electronic skills, grab the opportunity to swap the capacitors in the keyboard PCB. They commonly dry over the years.
