Proper crack of One step beyond
I got a version of One Step beyond downloaded from Emuchina. Seems the way this game was "cracked" was simply to make an action replay freeze and to then load it again. All's well until that point and the game runs, right until level 10 where it is to load an animation (if it's somewhat like the PC version), here it comes up with a black screen with grey text saying a fatal read error has occured and it can't go on.
Does anyone have a proper cracked version of this game which can go a step(or level) beyond level 10? |

Well I downloaded it but I can't seem to get it working.
WinFellow (A500 setup) : Red screen WinUAE (A500 setup as identical to the WF setup) : Blue screen WinUAE (A1200 setup) : Black screen, hangs emulator. I'll try moving the files to my Amiga and trying them there later tonight though. Thanks. |

Well, I do have a solution for this problem (btw the version uploaded works perfectly) but I need permission first.
Toni, may I upload WinUAE 0.8.12 r1 b1 to the zone? It's the only emulator that works with this game and this will also make Tie-Break work. It's a beta originally not meant for public use that was leaked due to some "public supporter" but this is the best beta ever released for many people, even scoring off 0.8.8 R9 by far. //EDIT: works like a charm on WinFellow snapshot of November 11th, 2001! I uploaded the config to the zone. Happy gaming! Last edited by andreas; 01 March 2002 at 23:01. |

Thanks a lot Andreas. The game works fine on my A1200 too, I just forgot to post. Sorry about that one.

Maybe making a permanent thing which shows up in the config list saying THIS IS A BETA, NOT A FINISHED RELEASE. EXPECT ERRORS.
or something like that. Everyone loading the emu will see it, and hope that people will understand that the beta might equal errors. |
