Stuck in Robocod

I thought I'd fire up one of my all time favourite Miggy games, Robocod, and see if I can complete it again. Problem is I'm stuck on the level shown in the attached pic. I've found the exit, but can't go in it because I haven't collected all the penguins. I vaguely remember that the last one is located somewhere down the route to the bottom left of the screen capture. I can't seem to get to this platform no matter how I try to jump or drop onto it so can't go any further. Any ideas?

I had a feeling my attachment hadn't been uploaded, but I had to dash off to work. I'll have to fix it when I get back.

There we go, I've fixed it. Hopefully the pic should jog a few memories.

It rings a bell but it is a loooong time ago since I played it.
I remember this level has two alternative exits. One exit resets the level and leads you to the start again. This exit can be found somewhere in the far right top corner. The alternative exit can be found in the bottom right corner of the level. Once you have jumped on several platforms you will see a secret corridor leading to the last penguin and the correct exit.

Thanks for the reply. That sounds a lot like a very similar level I think I've already completed. It's difficult to tell because I started from a freeze state and haven't played the game in ages. On that one, the exit that sends you back to the start is at the bottom right at the end of a long ramp. To avoid entering it (because the ramp forces you to run much faster than usual) you have to jump over it at the last minute and then get on a lift to take you to the real exit right at the top of the level.

On this level in the bottom right corner of the level there's a giant spring which you have to use to escape from the pit-like section (there's no other way out at the bottom). In the bottom left corner there's a lift which takes you to 4/5 identical rooms along the way, with a bouncing angel-boy in each.

Now that my exams are over I thought I'd have another go at Robocod. I soon got stuck so came here searching for answers. Low and behold I found my own thread from 6 years ago, and guess which level I'm on this time? Exactly the same friggin' one! Doh!

So I don't end up turning into that guy who dedicated 20 years of his life to beating Ghosts n Goblins and lost jobs and girlfriends in the process, can someone help me out?

Thanks. Never thought to look at a walkthrough because the levels aren't labelled so I didn't know which one I needed help with. Anyway I found the right section through your link.

It turned out I needed to stand on an elevator, jump off it and then duck underneath before it had chance to regenerate so I could access a tunnel that I assumed was unreachable.

I fell in love with this game as soon as I played the demo on an Amiga Action cover disk back in 1991. Soon after I bought the full game and my parents didn't see me for weeks! I'll never get that tune out of my head.

I bought my amiga 500 with James Pond, Cloud Kingdoms and a last game, cant recall it. James Pond was the first game I booted and the first game I beat on the Amiga. I have however barley tried robocod. Never know why.

I thought the first game was OK, but didn't like the lack of control you had under water, and I think it was all under water wasn't it?

The one I never got into was Operation Starfish because I only realised it existed years after I sold my Amiga. After dabbling with it a bit in emulators you appear to need the manual to know how to do all the quirky manoeuvres and understand what all the power-ups do. Maybe I'm just being thick.

Anyway, just ruined the final Big Bad Boss's Christmas by bludgeoning his headless snow body, which makes that a wrap. I've been waiting nearly 20 years to do that! Pretty easy when you can do it in half a dozen sessions.
