Exclamation Parasol Stars

There is a problem with the floppy disk version of Parasol Stars.

I tried two different cracked version of Parasol Stars (By SKR and Flashtro), in both of them the game freezes in the map screen, when the game is loading the world 8 (the world in the corner top-left).

The disk is in infinite loading with the repeat of three numbers: 0, 39 and 40.

I tried all different configurations and several versions of Winuaue but nothing... there is the same problem.

I know that there isn't this problem with the HD version, but there is nothing to do with floppy disk version?

Mmmm, I don't clearly remember if I ever got to world 8 while playing the beatiful Parasol Stars... but I think I did, without having those problems you're reporting...
I'll check my copy (don't remember which cracked version it is).

Just to exclude WinUAE config problems, did you check those 2 cracked releases on a real Amiga?

I tried two different cracked version... so two different adf files (downloaded from two different locations).

Both of them corrupted in the same way?

Check this thread... other guys had the same problem. They solved with HD version.

Are you sure it works?

Although the trainer works to let you skip to level 8, does that version allow you to play through from levels 1 through to 8?

i have an old disk where Parasol stars is (version done by eurosoft/FFC). it runs from start to the end. So it's sure his ADF were broken.

Just odd that both the Skid Row version the guy used and a Flashtro version both failed at the same place.

Corrupted download or false winuae configuration. I have just tested Parasol stars by flashtro, it works correctly, and doesn't get stuck on map screen.

Try to use cycle-exact mode on this game. And report here if it works now.

Because they used the same broken source?

Remember a couple cracks are betas/pre-releases (as e. g. 9 out of 10 PANG! cracks are) and NOT the final thing.
So if, for instance, one pre-release copy got stolen from some fair, it might not only have ended up in the hands of ONE cracking group, but two or even more. Showing the same bug in-game, obviously.

Er, no Andreas.

Parasol Stars by Skid Row is the release version, and why would Flashtro being using the same disk Skid Row did 12 years later?

Perhaps Flashtro used the SkidRow version for a hint ?

As far as i'm aware they use originals/IPF's to create their versions.

flashtro didn't always crack a game, sometimes they trained it only. Has anyone checked?

Well the bootblock from the Skid Row and the Flashtro version differs. Would be interesting if skatebyte first used the '+ 11' version by Flashtro.

All four flashtro versions? There are two [a] versions for the +11 trainer. Maybe only one is broken.
