Shadowgate, Spittin-Image???

I'm desparately looking for the amiga-games 'Shadowgate' and 'Spitting-Image' as adf-file for winUAE. Does anyone know where I can get this?? As I haven't read all the postings of the last centuries I hope that this question does have something new somehow *grin*

Please give me a hint to MacGuyver@gmx.at (yep! It's really 'AT' at the end;-) or post it here (well if I can choose..... both *doublegrin*)

I've uploaded Shadowgate and Spitting Image to the Zone. To access the Zone you need to go to User CP -> Group Memberships...

Ooh, this finally got me to register instead of just lurking! Some uncanny timing here: I'm right in the middle of copying all my old A2000 disks to my PC. Well it seems my own Shadowgate.adf just crashes in WinUAE, and I couldn't find another copy anywhere else. So I just wanted to say I'm also very grateful for this upload, it works great!

Could you upload your crashy adf please? Wanna test it on my good ol'A1000.
Maybe it's just an emulation problem.
Where exactly does it crash?

Okay, I uploaded my crashing Shadowgate adf to the Zone. The original disk still works fine on my Amiga (using a degrader). The adf crashes in WinUAE while still at the Workbench after trying to run the game ("Software error - task held..."). I have not tried transferring this adf back to disk again.

Shadowgate doesn't like "odd" system configurations, short stack space, altered ("X-Copy optimized") disks.

BTW, I tried to write a HD-install for Shadowgate, but I got lost while removing tons of encryption and the floppy-related copy protection routines.

Shadowgate holds an on-disk copy-protection system called HLS. In fact the majority of the US games has the same.
The original appears to be a 100% ados disk, but it is not, the original won't run from a simple image.

IPF is a preserved special format for Amiga Games ... look here: http://www.caps-project.org.
However, getting those IPFs is a bit ... er ... awkward. They must not be uploaded to the zone, so you will have to ask on IRC (best way).

But well, if you had read the thread *carefully*, you would have realized that Argh! solved the problem by another image uploaded by CodyJarrett.

For what it may be worth, I've downloaded the adf that Sparky uploaded to the Zone, and it works without crashing, just like the adf version I already had does. If that version is crashing for anyone, it is most likely a problem with their configuration. The basics of my working config for Shadowgate are:

Kickstart 1.2, 512K Chip, 512K Slow, 1 MB Fast
OCS chipset, NTSC, Cycle exact

Hi. This is the reason why I signed up here, but if my understanding of 'The Zone' is correctly, files get purged after a certain amount of days.

hey dudes i am a freaking noob and i have a few questions i cant get to ur zone due to not having privilges and when i operate shadowgate i get errors like software errors and a recoverable error ??? i am using kickstart 1.3 and the config that andreas had posted i dont know if its me or the rom please help me i am a noob and i love this classic thanks for ur time
