Alright. Amiga christmas games. What is worth playing?

Tis the season.

The only Christmas themed Amiga game Ive played was a Lemmings one, so what holiday themed games are actually worth an hour or two?

The Christmas demo of Theme Park. It just feels so Christmassy.

If you want something newer, Turbo Santa is quite frantic
For older stuff, I also recall a special Christmas version of Sensible Soccer, though it perhaps wasn't very x-massy.

Insensible Soccer. But then you might as well play the one with fruits, you can't get cuter than that

Robocod of course, the ultimate Amiga Christmas-themed game.

Robocod has quite a Christmassy feel, deliberately or not, with snow and kids' presents. There was one called Santa's Xmas Caper, I might check that out sometime but it was an original budget game and those are rarely up to much on the Amiga

Great minds think alike. I mean you're saving Santa's workshop, so definitely deliberate.

+1 for Turbo Santa DX22, love that game.

There's the X-mas Cannon Fodder, you get to kill (or be killed) by Sensi players.

Fire & Ice (actual game or X-mas demo) is good fun.

Lemmings is a given

Although it probably isn't worth playing by everyone's standards, I have a soft spot for Father Christmas Vs The Dinosaurs.

bit strange, i cant really remember the first "christmas" game i played on the amiga, perhaps the christmas demo of ATR?

All i can remember from the old times was the very first christmas themed game i ever played, which i still remember, which was Snowball Sunday on the C64, came on some disc mag floppy, cant remember which magazine, wasnt exactly an deep, epic game but it was fun at the time.

Across all platforms I've only found one Christmas game that held my interest over the years: Plum Duff on the ZX Spectrum [ Show youtube player ].

You fly from house to house looking for misdelivered presents, while avoiding children who have woken up at night. The difficulty is overtuned: too hard to avoid obstacles in the sleigh scenes and the children move too quickly. Even the programmer could only manage a few successful deliveries. It's not really a game you have to complete to enjoy, though. (If you wanted to I'd recommend an emulator with save states.)

If I were to make a holiday-themed game for Amiga today that's what I'd model it on. I do enjoy some of the titles listed in this thread but most lean into holiday theming rather than making it a central gameplay element.

Nice! Where can it be found? And how complete it is compared to the final release?

Its a demo, so very, very incomplete About 30 minutes worth of gameplay I would say. I have in the past wondered if it would be possible to take the demo as a base to create a full Christmas themed Theme Park clone.

Even if the assets could be used and set to automatic change between nov and feb within the game's timing, it would be cool, although water tube coaster should become frozen

Nah, heated water It would be a nice hobby project, nuke all the management sim aspects of the game and just create a casual theme park builder with a Christmas theme. The cease and desist would be hefty though
