Matt Chat 72: Deus Ex
Hi all,
this week Matt takes a closer look on Deus Ex. Enjoy! [ Show youtube player ] (All I could get hold of was DE2, and some people claim that DE1 is much better. I liked it, though.) |

Thanks, Gilgamesh!
I found a copy at the local thrift shop. Only problem is I managed to get the one version that isn't compatible with the updates and patches, but it seems to work well -- I was impressed that it worked out-of-the-box in Vista. It does seem to run fast, but I'm not sure about the original speed, so no way to really calibrate it. Someone there at Youtube pointed me towards Precursors, a Russian game that appears to be a more recent take on the genre: http://www.precursors-game.com/eng/news/ It definitely looks interesting. Anyone tried it? |

That's a funny story, Athiga! I think the same thing must have happened to me several times. I remember buying Fallout 1 and 2 for some ridiculous price (maybe $10 for both). The only game I lent was Temple of Elemental Evil, and of course the guy never returned it (though I still have the box).
My grandpa said it best--don't loan anything to anyone. Just give it to them as a gift or refuse. |

yep. I play it once a year, and I can never stop at finishing it only once. This year I've completed it three times in a row already, each time in a slightly different way of course. Ah the fun you can have with proximity mines...
