Amiga 2000 Corrosion - Replacement Parts Qs
I opened up my old Amiga a couple of weeks ago to find the battery had leaked and corroded several components. I'm getting a black screen when I try to power on.
I've order replacements for the parts I recognize, but there's a few I'm unsure of.... My board is Rev 6.2. Can anyone tell me the specs or where to order the following: RP101 FB301 Thanks |

RP101 appears to be a resistor pack - 9x2.7K resistors in a 10-pin pack with the common connection at pin 1. It should be pretty easy to find at any electronics supplier.
FB301 is a ferrite bead. The schematics don't say what ratings it should have but I doubt it will be that critical as it just does some extra filtering of the +5V for the keyboard. You could probably get away with replacing it with a piece of wire, or else a small bead, perhaps 75 ohm or less will do the job. Edit: These look to be suitable replacements, though I can't guarantee it... Resistor pack Ferrite bead Last edited by Daedalus; 03 March 2017 at 14:19. |

Thanks! I was just about to post that exact resistor pack and a very similar ferrite to ask if they are correct. Seems like they are!
