Action Replay 3 Activation plus memory save
I don't know how to activate AR3 within WinUAE, can anyone tell me please?
Also, there was a feature I asked for where instead of saving lots of ancilliary junk that I didn't need, but to simply save out the Amigas ram to a bin file. This seems to have been removed in newer versions of WinUAE. Can I have it back, or am I simply missing it somewhere, because the save state isn't anywhere near the size of the RAM im using on the emulated Amiga, and it would be nice to simply be able to save RAM out. |

1 - Page Up
2 - When you choose save state change the file type to Uncompressed Save State. |

The ram save worked, but the page up button didn't work to activate the Action Replay 3.
WinUAE is told where the rom is, is there anything else I need to do to activate it? |

It might be Page Down but I'm sure it's Page Up.
P.S. You shouldn't use RAM (State) saving with Action Replay. It causes problems and I mentioned this in a thread a while back. This is espcially true when restoring a state and hitting the freeze button. See this thread for more details about the problems with using Save States & AR Last edited by Jim; 14 January 2005 at 16:33. |

i think in the current version the key for activating the cartridge ROm is not assigned by default.
You have to make a custom config for the keyboard and assign "activate cartridge" to an unassigned key. It should work afterwards. If it still doesn't work your AR3-ROM may be wrong/corrupted (theres no error message if activating the cartridge fails, theres just nothing happening ) |

With a new(ish) WinUAE/fresh(ish) config it is default. Worth checking though.

Im a bit dumb sometimes.
I know all about the bugs in AR3, I know that its a bit picky over memory configurations and kickstarts..... so changing from kick3.1 and a 512kchip/512kfast combo works wonders! Doh! |
