PS. If you can wait a few year - plan to set up my own Retro Shop when I retire! Mainly want to use it to store my stuff and have lots of room to play...selling won't be so important!

Just saw an article about Playnation and how it was forced to close due to compulsory purchase of it's building but now has moved and reopened with arcade. Sadly closed all summer and lost a lot of money.

Yeah from my visits, CEX is better for anything console, and mid to late 90's and beyond.
N64, PS2, etc etc. Still useful outside of Amiga stuff. Just found out there's a CEX in Perth lol. https://www.facebook.com/pg/Cexperth...=page_internal I need to get out more. Seems they're mainly listing VERY recent stuff though :/ I know i said "UK" but meh..... A good one is a small store in an indoor market, called Beyond Retro. https://www.facebook.com/beyondretroperth/ Much like CEX BUT they've also had Amiga stuff in, but it disappears pretty damn quick. Yes I went to the Arcade Clubs new Leeds venue couple of weeks back, not quite as big I believe as Bury but I did a solid 5 hours, only played about half the machines and most of them only once! Going back weekend after next
Note Rygar in background. In a generic cab I think not the original. Impossible, or maybe I'm just rubbish or was too tired after so many hours lol |

Yes the entire second floor was older games. Didn't play Shinobi but did have a go on Strider, first time for me. Downstairs is the cafe, modern stuff and older sit on machines (nearly fell out of Power Drift lol), 3rd floor has VR, PCs, Xbox, PS4, Sega cabs etc

That really looks good. Wish we had something like that around. All we have is latest arcades, and here and there pacman or galaga cabinet.

We have a couple of retro arcades cropping up in Perth but they're much smaller than yours by the sounds of it. https://www.thepalacearcade.com.au/ Food is Fn expensive too BUT they do set evenings where you basically buy a food voucher, and all the games are set to free play. Not been along yet but will do soon. |

This place is £16 to get in then all on free play. Thurs/Fri it is 6pm-11pm I think and Sat/Sun it is 11am-11pm so even more value.
Food was great and cheap. Burger, nachos, salad and a bottle of beer was about £5.50, they do pizzas as well. |

I haven't managed visiting yet but once walked past a shop called Crazy Thumbs that seemed to have a ton of stuff. It's in Tooting, South London.

There's a place up the road from my work up for lease. Ex car showroom, that would be perfect. If I won the lottery........ https://www.google.com/maps/@-31.941...7i13312!8i6656 But I fear we simply dont have the l market here in Perth. If it were on the East Coast....that's another story. But then the real-estate would cost more too so it's chicken and egg. |

The cost of the machines is the issue, so high for older ones, well and new!
There is a small arcade opening in Newcastle, North England soon which will just have a few older ones, a bar and food so more of a social place than an outright arcade. I'm hoping they will be setting up a few old consoles as well as they owners have done that before at one off dates in other pubs which went down well. |
