Hyberborea new Amiga shmup.

I just found a video of this on YouTube. I don't see any mention of it on this forum.
Looks good. Its early obviously but interesting.

It was previewed at Amiga 34.
I had a chat with the coder last week and its on hold for now.

Damn, did he say why? That was one of the most promising Amiga games atm, i dare say the political Amiga world probably turned him off!

Looks a lot like Battle Squadron.
In fact all the gfx seems to have been ripped.

Looks impressive but I wonder if he is running WinUAE in fastest mode as there looks to be a lot on the screen at once? Perhaps aiming at high end Amigas?

If he were making a Battle Squadron sequel - I for one would be very happy!

Yes I notice the graphical similarity. On the plus side, I have fond memories of Battle Squadron!

If this runs on a stock Amiga then really impressive! And if it is using sprite multiplexing then there's some really clever thinking/planning going as to where the sprites are on screen so the 8 sprites per line limit is avoided otherwise it would be flickering like a 2600!

I cannot believe there are so many promising shmups being developed ATM for the amiga. And they are all pretty different. Incredible time !
