I was very excited when I saw the Amiga Workbench in the "crazy family house", but I had figured someone must have already posted it here as I was weeks late in watching the latest Stranger Things.
![]() What was up with the color scheme though? Was that a setting in the early Amigas? |

In one of the shots posted by rothers you can see an actual Amiga monitor display with two 'fake' windows laid over it. The Workbench version 1.0 title and 429568 bytes free memory suggest this may have running on an A1000, perhaps even the one in the movie.

translucency of the window ("copy" over its border), also window slider arrows are totally wrong.

Its a crazy mashup Amiga with terminal stylings and some C# thrown in for good measure. I really like how they've done it.

Somebody involved in the show has a soft spot for Commodore, not just Amiga. One of my subscribers told me a while back there was an episode with a Commodore 64 breadbin.
Not my kind of show so I've never watched it. |

I can't believe I didn't spot it! I will be handing in my Amiga badge immediately.

It'd have been unforgivable if it were an A500 which has a very unique look to it, but the A1000 is a little more of a "generic old computer" look so nothing to beat yourself up over. Easy to miss. Like I said, I recognised the tank mouse, not the computer.

No one noticed the code that shows up on the Amiga screen is a lot of HTML code which was only invented in the 90s?
Not to mention... Internet..... |

I'm pretty sure you could have got on to the internet on an Amiga in the 80s?
I'm pretty sure my Grandad used to use the internet via the university dial up connection on a ZX Spectrum terminal program in like 1983. |

Luckily I can suspend my disbelief, in the Stranger Things universe the internet existed in the 80's. Done. |

I'm still impressed that they managed to make it even look Amiga-ish. It could have been much worse
