USB Mouse in Games?

Am I understanding correctly that it is possible to use one in, for example, OS-eschewing games if you include the USB stack in a custom Kickstart ROM?

By OS-eschewing, you mean games that disable multitasking?

USB mice can not be used with such games.

Yeah that's what I mean. OK, so is there any kind of USB (or PS/2) to "standard" Amiga mouse adapter/converter in that case?

Slightly related; are the PS/2 adapters supposed to make the mouse work at the same speed as normally? With mine the movement is really, really slow even with the setting at 3 and acceleration on. Using the same mouse via USB (Deneb) or even an Amiga style 3-button Wizard mouse is way better. Is this a feature of how the adapter works?

Look at: http://allegro.pl/listing.php/search...ga+usb&order=p
I bought "Adapter myszy USB do komputera Amiga" for 42 Polish Zloty, include
post costs. It work fine with USB Mouse, but unfortunetly a whell do not work in
Classic WB even with FreeWheel driver. Anyway last time wheel in my, old PS 2
Mouse stop working corectly so I pluged it in by PS2 -> USB converter (a small
green connector also buyed by me at allegro.pl) and use it in Amiga, because if
wheel is unsuported by standard Amiga mouses - I can live without it Now a
cheap USB Mouse is connected to my PC and PS 2 Mouse is connected - to my
real Amiga 1200. So check link above. The "zgadza się na wysyłkę za granicę"
text means "User agree to send item outside Polish border" or maybe you will
find similar adapters at ebay or other shops. An user mata24 do not replies at
my messages when I asked about problems with wheel but now maybe hi do it.

Try a mouse with coarser resolution. It could also be that the mouse updates too quickly for your adapter.

@Jope

Well yeah but it's the most basic and cheapest Logitech mouse available new... I can try other mice and see if something else works, but if the adapters in general don't work with modern mice, it makes them a lot less useful. Of course the adapter itself might be somehow faulty too, will have to do some testing I guess.

Hmm, sounds like it should just work. I was thinking you had perhaps found some el-cheapo almost-to-the-spec mouse.

Something is wrong in your setup, swap out adapter/ps2adapter/mouse until you get a good setup.

Most of the time, your mouse will feel too fast in games, because optical and especially laser mice are much more sensitive than the Amiga ball mice the games were made for.

But all 3 adapters I have (2 cocolino, one other) work fine with a normal optical USB-mouse in a PS/2 adapter in all games.
