For Bert ( Wepl )

You had a few Questions... so i try to answer them.

1) Wepl asked " What is the difference with the SoundFX? "

Well, there are a few changed SoundFX ..
(i try to remember them, here on the spot. so, maybe not all are listed )
Changed Laser SoundFX
Changed Turrican "landing" SFX
Changed Lightning Bolt SFX in World 1
Changed SFX for those little flying "ufo´s" in World 1
Changed SFX for the "Screen Flash" ( Space-key )
Changed SFX for those Bombs ( alt-key)
Removed "WELCOME TO TURRICAN" opening + missing Title Sceen by M.T.

( The Removal of the Rainbow Arts Logo + missing Loading Screen Music was also present in CDTV Turrican 2 .. but nothing else was changed in Turri2 CDTV )
(For me it was the first Time i played Turri1 CDTV... it was almost like see the Star Wars Special Edition for the fist time XD)

2) " The Thing with the Keyboard "

Sure, they have to remap the Keyboard to the CDTV remote Controller.
The Feature to Fire the Bombs with Fire Button 1&2 pressed at the Same time is really good !!

I never had the CDTV version ( i have all of the Factor 5 Turricans ,
but not the CDTV versions , besides the WHDLOAD versions )

So, i thought the removed Keyboard support for the Highscores was strange, but i did´t know it was you, that brought back the keyboard support for the "Ingame Keys" ...
( i play with a 2 fire button pad... so , i dont need the keyboard, and my Highscores are WAY UP there

3) The Bug in World 4-3

This Bug was also present in the Floppy Disc version and i think that Factor 5 should have fixed this bug, because the CDTV version came years later and the could do something to prevent this to happen.

Sure, "Dont roll into that spot" ...
( i know that, i finished the game over 100´s times ,
but for a new player its gonna be bad .. )

It´s not up to you ,to fix this Bert, it should have been done 25 years ago.
( and i love FACTOR 5 , one of my all time favorites )

A simple "invisible wall" would fix that problem... so nobody can roll into that spot. Like i said, if you know the error, you can do it every time,
and Factor 5 should have noticed that.

There is also a BUG in World 4... the "FUCK YOU BUG" but i only got that once in my lifetime and it seems nobody knows about that .....
( i should have made a photo of it )

Anyway, Great Work, as always Bert !
You´re the best

Yes, all Turricans ( Now, with the recent WHDLoad CDTV T1 version )
have all features "ready at you´re finger tips" when,
played with a Two-Butto Pad/Stick.

Imho, Two Button Should have been the Standart for Amiga´s .

I have uploaded the amigafun version to the zone (turrican_amigafun_whd.lha), it's a rerelease of the original pal version. Would be nice if this could be tested too

The Amiga fun version doesn't work on 68000 machines.

The screen turns black and the game freezes.

It works on 68020 after all.

Game completed on A1200/ACA1232, no issues to report.

At which point does it happen?
Can you still quit?
On real hardware or emulated?

Please try attached Slave. Should be fixed now.
The rerelease has a slower decruncher, so on a 68000 it is not ready when speech has ended. You have to wait a bit.
I also enabled the keyboard during this stage now.
Attached Files
File Type: slave Turrican.Slave (5.8 KB, 91 views)

Thanks!

Now it works fine without any issues.

Is it possible to change the icon to a nicer one and maybe add the manual please?

Thank you! Tested it on my A1000 with 512k chip and 128MB Fast (ACA1233 030) and it works great. The previous version would not run as I did not have 1MB Chip RAM.

Yay, that took quite some time, but it was worth waiting! I think it's time to finish good ol' Turrican once more...

Well, its still doesn't like my M1230XA First level seems fine, then after killing the big fist it gives the "Line 1111 Emulator" ($2C) at $CCCCCCCC occured. error. Tried again and got past the fist but same error occurred just a bit further in the level. Didn't notice any slowdown though when using the beam weapon when rocks are falling!

Default tooltypes in the icon, not tried any others yet!

Using A1200/030/50Mhz/64mb OS3.9 and WHDLoad 18.2

*EDIT*
Seems NoCache and NoAutoVec make no difference and NoVBRMove causes an Exception "Level 5 Autovector (RBF/DSKSYNC)" ($74) at $1BDC error? So this accelerator is just not suitable for WHDLoad

Your game images are ok?
Maybe NoCache helps.
Otherwise make a report at http://mantis.whdload.de/ and attach the .whdl_register file.

Maybe NoMemReverse? Somebody posted this suggestion in Akira's M1230XA thread weeks ago.
